That was a big thing for me too! i couldnt calculate it quick enough so i called nixon. you click in the top button 4 times.. wait 2 seconds. click the buttons in the pattern of top, bottom, top bottom, bottom top, hold top for 3 seconds and it should work. (If it doesnt work the first time try it again..)
