Great skis! I bought a pair of Salomon X-Adventures (Access Blade), and also rented a pair of their Raid Blade model. Both were fun, but tended to be "grabby" in certain snow conditions due mainly to their short length. While these skis have the same basic profile as the Alpina Cross Terrain, they only come in one length - 145cm - so I started looking for something a bit longer. I knew when I came across the Alpina Cross Terrain that I had found the perfect ski. These climb better than the Access Blades, and better than my Karhu Catamounts (now called Orions), which are great touring skis also. They are light and turn easily. I'm using the Salomon Raid (SNS) binding, though I would have preferred the Salomon back country binding (also SNS, but manual, not step-in).
