I freakin love this pant!!! The length is perfect (I'm 5'7") and the waist runs true to size! And the best part is they cover my entire butt! If you've had issues with jeans like Volcom or RVCA in the rear, these WESC pants are the ticket. And the higher cut is really perfect. Not soo high that your wearing hipster grandma pants, but not so low that you show your ba dunka dunk. Absolutely perfect. I need to buy them all because I never want a different pant!

You should be totally fine on a 178. I'm 5'7" and 140 and that's definitely the size I would ride.

Hey Eric!
My honest opinion would be go for the 174. Believe me, I was nervous dropping down to that size on these because I usually ski a 180+ length, but my buddy who is about 5'8" and shreds super hard, rocks the 174 and has no issues with it. He convinced me to get the 174 and I'm so stoked I did! The 184 would just be too much ski. It's fat and stiff, so having a little less ski to deal with is amazing!
Don't get the Atomic, Go with Surface!!

My buddy actually mounted a pair of Dukes to the New Life and doesn't seem to be having any issues with them! Plus she's always the one breaking trail now because they're so fat! Makes it look easy!

They're made in China. But before you get turned off from that, realize that Surface has spent a lot of time and money finding a high quality manufacturer so they can keep their prices low but sell great quality skis. I've never had any issues with mine and they're such a great company to support!

LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! This pack is incredible! Finally a company that did it right. Well made, sleek, comfortable, and looks great! This is the go to pack for resort skiing or light touring. As long as you don't use day treckers, you can fit skins, beacon, probe, shovel, water, and some snacks no problem. It fits perfectly to your body. No bulk!! The built in back protector is a nice touch, too. I honestly forget I have it on when I'm skiing. The waist band is neoprene and attaches with velcro. No more messing with buckles and straps to adjust it. And trust me, that velcro is tough, so don't worry about it losing its stick any time soon. Highly recommend this pack for every day use. It really is the best you can buy.

The Only Ski You Need!

Surface Live Life Ski

Amazing!! This is my ski of choice for any day. From blower chest high pow, to crusty skied out bumps, this ski does it all. Playful tip and tail, but still stable at high speeds. I tour with it as well, and have had no problem with my skins and love how light it is. And don't believe the b.s. about quality, because this bad boy has been through hell and back, and still looks and skis like it's brand new! Plus, if you do have any issues, the guys at Surface are the best people to work with and will help you with anything!

P.S. Ladies! Don't hesitate on the 181 length! I'm 5'7" and shocked how well these skied and have zero issues with the length.
