Fiona parka looks good

Patagonia Fiona Down Parka - Women's

This is a pretty jacket and amazingly flattering for a down filled coat. I usually wear a large in patagonia (5'9' and need length in the arms), and so after reading all the reviews decided to start with that and it fits fine, although the elastic around the wrists is a little tight compared to my Patagonia down sweater. I really want this jacket to be wonderful, but I don't think it is very warm. It doesn't even seem quite as warm as the down sweater. The fill in the arms seems very skimpy. It has been a high of about 35 with a brisk wind here for the last couple of days and this isn't really adequate for that. I think for days in the 40s without wind it will be fine. BTW, I bought in the same black as my down sweater, and I think it is more of an off-black. It's a nice color, but somehow grayer than true black. I like it. So...I don't think this would be a functional coat in really bitter cold climates, but in milder areas would probably be fine.

Vaporwick long sleeve

The North Face VaporWick Crew - Long-Sleeve - Women's

Packed and wore these constantly on a long vacation to France. Traveled perfectly, were comfortable on airplanes and in stuffy airports, layered with other t-shirts underneath nicely. Large is my usual North Face size, and this shirt is true to size. I'm tall, and I think this shirt could be a bit longer, but wasn't too bad.
