I hate to give a bad review so bear in mind that maybe I just misunderstood the purpose of this jacket. I had two criteria in mind when purchasing this jacket, which I thought it fell short of meeting.
1 - A warm, wind resistant Jacket with minimal bulk.
2- A well cut jacket that fits clean on my somewhat long frame and arms and provides a unique look outside of my Arc'teryx gear.
While it is wind resistant this jacket is far from being remotely warm. I can compare it to my Arc'teryx Covert hoody and say that my hoody, which is made of a slightly lighter grade of fleece, still manages to feel much warmer when there isn't a breeze present (the covert has no wind resistance).
The sleeves on this are too long, I realize this is done in part to add fabric to the thumb holes, but even with the thumb holes in place I think the sleeves are probably one inch too long. I'm 73 inches tall and have an arm span of 77 inches, so it isn't as though I have stumpy arms.
I bought it because when reading the description and looking at the picture I thought it would meet my needs, I guess I was wrong. It feels like a waste of $250 and I'm considering returning it in order to get the Arc'teryx Fugitive Hoody.
