Athletic cut just like the Super Hero. The Waist is trim and shorter than the ROM.
Plenty of room to layer. I'm 5'10" and 160lbs. The fit is excellent as always and never tight.
Not water proofed exactly, but from my experience it will take quite a bit to make this one soggy. Definitely feels sturdy.

Pit Zips are a little difficult to close up. The zippers have some heavy drag, probably from the plastic sealing around them.
The Marmot logo on the inside fleece is a little too much...

Overall this thing is great. I got it on sale from DoG for $200 and it was worth it. If you're looking for something very light with lots of freedom, this isn't it. It moves with you, but in a heavy way. The Genesis is a beast compared to the Super Hero. But if you're running from the likes of sleet and wind, this guy is your jacket.

Excellent go to jacket for anything. It has a soft fleece liner but lacks the venting of Marmot's other active shell, however it's very comfortable. Water and wind resistance is good. I would only say it is a bit more constrictive than the ROM or Super Hero if you want to get out and really move. Again, the fit is just dead on. I'm 160 and 5'10" and somehow Marmot knows exactly how to tailor a jacket to my size.

Kick A$$ fleece. I wear it all the time for just about everything. Excellent fit and nice wind taping on the Napoleon pocket zipper.

This is my favorite shell by far. The two types of windstopper is well laid out and the jacket breathes pretty good. What I really love about the shell is how it's cut. The Super Hero just fits me like a tailored suit. The waistline and sleeves allow excellent mobility and though it's a trim fit with one layer, I've also been able to squeeze a base layer and a Marmot Zeus underneath with no issues in movement.

The Super Hero is kind of a general purpose shell that either works for you or doesn't, but I find any reason to pick it up. I just love the way it fits.

This is the Super Hero jacket lite. The ROM is similar in some ways to that jacket with but with less heavy duty windstopper on the shoulders, a longer waist, less athletic cut and more stretchy material under the arms.

The ROM is a great multipurpose shell. The windstopper works pretty good and if you have a couple layers on, holds in warmth very well. The ROM isn't a rain shell but it holds up pretty good if it's coming down. There's not much else to say other than the ROM still has the excellent fit and quality most Marmot jackets have.

I load this thing up every other day at dawn for a kick and glide trek to noon before the snow gets sticky. The size and capacity are perfect. The zip sheath and insulated tube keep freezing a non issue. The only knock I have on the pack is the three way zipper system. I like how easy it makes loading when the pack is unzipped, but because of the nature of how the three zippers meet, I don't like how the pack is never really closed - that kinda defeats the point of a zipper and I'm a little weary of how dry everything will be if I hit sleet. It hasn't been an issue so far, but I'm not going to bother using this as a quick hike pack in the rain months.

Great pack - just change the zip system and they get another star.

It's pricey, but I love this thing. The 260 is deceptive. It looks like a baseball shirt and feels a bit heavy. When you first put it on, you think, "I don't think this is all that warm." But it will prove you wrong. The fit is excellent and the raglan sleeves are my favorite design aspect.

But as a photojournalist, I was out shooting a family story on the rim of Canyon de Chelly in 20 degree sleet with a punishing wind and it got me through and never felt soaked. I bought two more after that. It even works great for Nordic skiing baselayer. Unlike every single Smartwool shirt I have, there have been ZERO seam unravels. The stitching is really top notch.

For cleaning, I cold wash gentle cycle and hang dry on my pull up bar.
