I was toasty at Sugarloaf last weekend. Outside temp -2 with windchill -29. All I had underneath it was a thin turtlefur bakalava. I can ride with my ipod without precariously putting earphones under the ear flaps because the earmuff style ear flaps have a place for ear phones. That being said the only complaint I have is that the earmuffs make it difficult to hear when someone is talking to you, so you might be a little loud.

I ordered this jacket to replace my North Face Oso hoodie. When it came I was surprised to see that it was a Polartec Powerstrech, so it wasn't replacing just adding to. I ordered the black with raspberry and it looks pretty cool and flattering. I have used this jacket on a 10 mile hike in the winter White's (20 degrees F) and it worked awesome over light-layer long sleeve top. Kept me warm while moving needed a shell to block the wind. The only draw back to the design is the hood has a long forehead, they claim for a bakalava but it is different. Overall its true to size and a great jacket.

This is my second pair of these gloves. The only reason I am purchased a second is because I lost the pair that I had for 4 years. No holes after 4 years of driving, pumping gas, stacking wood, sledding, skiing and winter hiking. A perfect all around glove. These work as a great under shell glove if your hands are prone to getting cold. The fit is snug so they stay on your hands when you pull your waterproof glove shell off. Totally worth every penny!

I bought this headlamp to replace an old Princeton Aura headlamp because I was going to do more long hike this summer. I used this headlamp for about 3 hours on the tail end of the Presidential Traverse in the White Mountains. The lamp is at 55 lumens which is not the top end of the scale but it is a beacon of a headlamp. The battery time is great for the small lightweight inexpensive headlamp.

I give these pants a 4 stars because I bought these in the winter and intend to use them in the summer. I like useful products that have many uses and these pants will be great for hiking and backpacking in the summer. Although I have not used them yet I can say the material is quick dry and there are tons of pockets. I am 5'4" and I found the length to be good in the regular length. Also I am curvy and found them to fit well maybe a little tight in the thighs but not unbearable.

I am in search of the Gor-Tex full-zip shell pants for winter hiking in the northeast. Although these were Gortex full zip they were missing a few items that I was looking for. There were no pockets in these pants and they did not have any built in gaiters. ALSO there were no scuff patches on the cuffs. This size was too small for me but the length was interesting, I am a 5'4" woman and a large was almost too short for me. They do have a cinch line in the cuffs, so you could pull them in and put a gaiter over them. There was also a hook on the toe side of the pant to hook to your boots. The seams were all sealed well and the waist had a little elastic stretch.
