Lizard Skins DSP Dual-Color Bar Tape - 2.5MM

Rating for this product: 5 June 22, 2012

I got this wrap for my birthday. Nice and cushy, and super grippy. I've only had it on for about a week so we will see how it holds up. I did a 50 miler the day after I put it on and it was much more comfortable that the Fisik tape I had on. Definitley recommend!

Good long lasting

Vittoria Rubino Pro 3 Slick Tire - Clincher

Vittoria Rubino Pro 3 Slick Tire - Clincher

Rating for this product: 5 January 6, 2012

These came stock on my Felt F85. They've worn really well. I've got almost 2,000 miles on mine and still haven't rotated them. I've only had a couple of flats, one in the front and one in the rear. I'm just biding my time till I can purchase a set of red/black ones. I would definitely recommend these.

Good Jersey

Louis Garneau Mistral Jr Short Sleeve Girl's Jersey

Louis Garneau Mistral Jr Short Sleeve Girl's Jersey

Rating for this product: 4 January 6, 2012

I bought this jersey for my 9 year old daughter. We got it 1 size bigger than it needed to be to let her grow into it and it still fits her pretty well without being too baggy. The quality of the material is great and has held up well over a full summer's worth of riding. I would definitely recommend for a first jersey.

Comfy & Easy to Install

Fi'zi:k Bar Gel & Bar Tape Kit

Fi'zi:k Bar Gel & Bar Tape Kit

Rating for this product: 4 June 20, 2011

I like this tape. It seems pretty comfortable, although I'm not sure I see much of a difference from my stock Felt (as in the bike company) tape that it replaced. It was easy to install, but I have experience wrapping tennis racket handles, not much different. The finishing tape that it came with was pretty worthless, so I just used some electrical tape and the end plugs would not fit so I had to use my stock plugs. I rode a 53 miler shortly after installing and still ended up with numb hands but no more than if I was still using my stock handle bar wrap. If someone is looking to replace their worn out tape I would recommend.

They are socks...

Louis Garneau Venti CFS Socks

Louis Garneau Venti CFS Socks

Rating for this product: 4 April 13, 2011

They are socks so there is not that much to say about them. They are definitely thicker than my Pearl Izumi attack socks, but they have extra ventilation on the bottom of the foot. I'm sure that would come in handy with road shoes that have ventilation, but I'm currently riding with mountain shoes, so it doesn't do much good for me. I like these socks and will probably get another pair.

Sweet!

Louis Garneau 12c Air Gel Gloves

Louis Garneau 12c Air Gel Gloves

Rating for this product: 4 April 13, 2011

The fit is nice and snug without being too tight. The first couple of rides I had marks on my hands after I took them off, but it wasn't a big deal. I really like the Lycra-like back it breathes nicely and conforms to the back of the hand. The ginger is nice a bright (the better for motorists to see you signal) but it's not obnoxious. Padding is a little on the lighter side and I do find myself changing hand positions quite a bit to keep from going numb, but I'm due to re-wrap my handle bars anyways, so maybe I'll try a cushy bar tape. Overall I like these gloves

Good little bag

Louis Garneau Mini Race 2 Bag

Louis Garneau Mini Race 2 Bag

Rating for this product: 4 April 13, 2011

What's to say about a saddle bag. It holds tight to the rails and doesn't sway. I can stuff a tube, CO2 cartridge with head, and tire levers. That's about all there is room for. I'm sure if I went with a super light tube I might be able to fit my keys in. For what I need it for it does the job nicely.

Best Bibs I've Ever Owned

Castelli Podium Collection - Bormio Red Bibshort - Men's

Castelli Podium Collection - Bormio Red Bibshort - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 February 11, 2011

I love these bib shorts! I am a bit biased as these are my first pair, but I don't think I will ever go back to regular shorts again. I've only been able to use these during spin since it is still winter, but I'm looking forward to riding with them this summer. I'm on the larger side 6' 215ish and the XLs fit quite nicely. They are pretty low cut, which at first made me kinda self conscious, but I got used to it and I can see how that would come in handy for mid-ride relieving. Definitely 5 stars.

Great Jersey

Castelli Podium Collection - Bormio Red Jersey - Short-Sleeve - Men's

Castelli Podium Collection - Bormio Red Jersey - Short-Sleeve - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 February 11, 2011

So far I've really enjoyed this jersey. Being winter I've only been able to test it during spin classes, but it has performed well indoors. Time will tell on how well it dries during my summer rides in Nebraska. I normally wear between a large and x-large depending on manufacturer. I definitely had to size up to an xx-large and it still feels tight under the armpits when you first put it on. After a few minutes though I don't even notice it. I also picked up the matching bibs on BT to complete the kit.

Nice Long Sleeve Jersey on a Budget

Louis Garneau Edge 2 Long Sleeve Jersey

Louis Garneau Edge 2 Long Sleeve Jersey

Rating for this product: 4 November 18, 2010

So, I've done a couple of rides with this jersey and so far so good. It was a little cool for just the jersey...first ride was about 47 and the second was down to about 40. By itself this jersey would really shine between about 50 and 60. It lets quite a bit of air in, so if it's windy, forget about it. From 40 to 50 I would recommend a base layer underneath.

For sizing reference I'm 6'0" and about 210lbs. I went with an XL, I probably could have gone with a L and been alright, but I wanted room to layer underneath. I think the XL is a little long in the sleeves though.

The Ginger (Red) is a really nice red. It's bright enough for motorists to see you, but it's not an obnoxious neon yellow.

Overall I like this jersey. I am biased, however, since this is my first long sleeve jersey.

Not Bad, but...

Castelli Nano Leg Warmer

Castelli Nano Leg Warmer

Rating for this product: 4 November 10, 2010

These aren't bad leg warmers. I think I was a little disappointed about a couple things:
1) They aren't as warm as I thought they were going to be.
2) They don't breath as well as I think that they should. Even on 45 degree rides my legs are quite sweaty when I remove them. This might be why they aren't as warm, probably because they aren't wicking away any sweat.

Also, after just one ride some of the stitching was coming undone near the bottom of one. I know I could have sent them back, but I had already waited sending another pair back because they didn't fit. I'll just break out the sewing machine and fix the seam. Overall I'll still give them 4 stars, because they fit well, look cool, and they do work for blocking the wind.

Great Glove!

Gore Bike Wear Mistral Gloves

Gore Bike Wear Mistral Gloves

Rating for this product: 5 November 10, 2010

I've only used these on a couple of mid 40's rides so far, but I'm enjoying them. I have really warm hands by nature, so I don't even need full finger gloves until 50 or below. So, at 45 my hands stayed quite toasty (almost too warm). My hands did end up just a little bit sweaty at the end of my 30 minute commute, but not too bad. I think the hand sweating thing is just my issue, so I still gave it 5 stars.

Castelli Thermoflex Leg Warmer

Castelli Thermoflex Leg Warmer

Rating for this product: 4 October 20, 2010

These seem like they would have been great warmer. Unfortunately the large was just a little too tight. With no extra large available I went to the Castelli Nano instead.
