Rating for this product: 4 February 6, 2011

These gloves are solid. the fit is amazing with good dex., they feel soo good to wear. they look great, and are very well made. the leather palm is very good, using high quality materials. i have been using these in temps from -5 to -14 degrees C, any higher and they become too warm. water resistance is average, could be better, and i wish they have a removable liner. going to get Hestra Heli glove next, ive tried the Heli, but these are a better fit i think. still, recommend.

Tioga

Marmot Tioga Softshell Pant - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 February 6, 2011

This is a great pair of pants. im spending some time in Europe and have bought these pants for the winter. ive used these in temps ranging from 5 degrees C to -10 degrees C, and depending on what base your using they have been great, i think you could use these between 15 and -15 degrees C. The fit is very good, im 5.10 and 135lb, and i use a Small. The pants offer good stretch, and are very comfy, they dont restrict movement at all. The ankle cuffs are alittle big, but this is for ski boots so i accpet this, but they could be a bit tighter. The M3 softshell material is great, breathes, and sheds water and snow well. the DWR does wear after a while, this is normal. i use these for cross country skiing, i was once skiing all day in wet rainy sleet conditions, went good, but at the end of the day my thighs did get a little damp, but i should have been using goretex that day. Yes, i really recommend these, they are fantastic, good fit, good weather resistance, smart looking, good quality.

Marmot Genesis Softshell Jacket - Men's

Marmot Genesis Softshell Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 October 9, 2010

ill start by saying i used this 'softshell' as a rain jacket for 2 days in 62 degrees F. i was never too warm, and the rain was just beading off it - amazing. it feels very breathable, and with proper layering, you could easily use this jacket for cold weather as well, this means its very flexible. the inside lining is very nice, all the zips work well, i think the hood is a bit big, i know this is for wearing a helmet but even if it was a bit small you could still fit a helmet in there. when you wear it, you get a sense that there is no limit to its ability to protect you from the elements, even though its just a softshell. the quality is great, some of marmots best. Cant wait to wear it again!

Marmot Powder 8 Fleece Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 October 9, 2010

This is my fav. fleece!! im 5'11" and 140 pounds, and a size M fits great. its really warm and comfortable to wear, with good pockets, i love the chest pocket. i must also say though the angle wing movement isnt as effective as with other of my marmot jackets, and i think that the sleeves could be a bit longer (or maybe i have long arms!). still, the fit is great, quality is great, great jacket!

Ama Dablam

Marmot Ama Dablam Down Jacket - Men's

Marmot Ama Dablam Down Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 October 9, 2010

This is an excellent down jacket, fantastic quality and great down. great fit, great hood and great zipper. I think a lot of people miss-understand the concept behind the Ama DaBlam jacket (and maybe also the Greenland jacket), many say that it punctures easily and that its a bit fragile, maybe, (although i haven't had any problems with it) but this jacket weights just 500g.... and it compresses so small that it fits into any pack, and that's what this jacket it all about, being warm, light and compressible. i wear a goretex over the top when skiing or going through rough vegetation. for the weight, you cant beat it. i think Marmot should consider making a heavy duty version AS WELL with thicker fabric. Over all, i love it! oh and if anyone needs it, im 5'11" and 140 pounds and i fit an M perfectly.

Marmot Palisades Pant - Men's

October 7, 2010

Hey there,

Im considering getting these pants mostly for hiking, but while they seem awesome, im concerned about durability and toughness. i have heard some Marmot pants are prone to ripping after just light use, if you have these pants or know them well, convince me otherwise!! Thanks in advanced!
