Easily damaged - thin material

I bought this pack in women's medium for my 12 year old daughter to use in wilderness survival training. She loved the fit and weight, but yesterday she carried it on a rigourous ascent and descent of Horsetail Falls in the Sierra near Tahoe and the bottom of the pack totally blew out from being scraped on the granite during the rock crawling. This was only the second time she carried and it is destroyed. The material on the bottom of the pack is thin and not durable in the least. This pack might be good for travel or easy day hikes, but don't expect it to hold up to tough conditions. I'm sure it would shred in the brush or thick trees as well. Not made for durability.
