The grigri 2 is an excellent assisted braking belay device. This can be the safest belay device out there if the operator knows how to use it, and uses it correctly. I've used this from top roping, sport climbing, and gym climbing. It works great in all applications. The assisted braking works perfectly, and you can lower the climber with excellent control. I have not used the original grigri but this one is great. I would recommend this to any climber, it is super safe and a great device.

I don't think I've ever had a flavor of a Clif Bar that i disliked. I haven't tried every flavor of Clif Bar, but every one i have is delicious. My favorites are Blueberry Crisp, Peanut Butter, Chocolate Chip Peanut Crunch, Chocolate Chip, and Gary's Panforte. These bars are great and give you some energy and fill you up. Whether your at home, on the trail, climbing, whatever these are the best energy bar you can get, and they taste delicious. Clif Bar also makes great tasting shots, blocks, and tons of other stuff. Simply the best.

This are my favorite shorts I've ever had. I wear these climbing, hiking, backpacking, and wearing around town, they are very comfortable, stylish, and excellent range of motion. I got a pair of black when they were on sale to see if i would like them, and they are great. I plan on getting each color. The pockets are great and stuff doesn't seem to fall out if you sit down. The cargo pockets are really nice, if there is nothing in them, you can barely tell they have cargo pockets. These are great shorts, they are a little expensive. Arc'teryx is one of the best and i would recommend these to any climber or hiker, or anybody for that matter.

I always have one in my pack, along with my first aid kit, and some other emergency gear. There is no reason why not to have one, it's lightweight(Mine weighed in at 4.2 ounces), inexpensive, and much better then a emergency blanket. I hope I never have to use it, but I know it's there if I have too. Buy one or a couple, it's the peace of mind knowing its there. I would recommend this to anyone.

Great lightweight first aid kit. It pretty much comes with everything you would need. Added a few things to personalize it, and there is enough room for those add ons. It's super lightweight, mine weighed 8.5 ounces. It packs small in the pack. And is great for where you might come into contact with water. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a great lightweight first aid kit.

This is a great breakfast from mountain house. One thing I've noticed with mountain house is the recommended amount of water is always to much. Not a biggie though just drain the excess water. This is really good for coming out of a package. The eggs can be a little mushy, but it still tasted great. I would recommend this to anyone.

This is a great little lantern, it lights up my Big Agnes Copper Spur great. Mine weights in at about 4.5 ounces. It is nice to have in the tent to get ready for bed or to do anything inside the tent. Its very durable, I've dropped it a couple of times and it still looks fine. It was closed so it might be different if it was open. I've had this for 7 months now, and its working great. I would recommend this to anyone, its light, compact, and made by black diamond, which makes amazing gear. Get it, its worth the $30.00.

I got this along with my Copper Spur UL2. I thought it was a good idea to get this to protect the floor of my tent. I would much rather put a hole in this, rather than in the floor of my brand new tent. This only adds about 5 oz. to the tent weight still keeping it under four pounds which is still incredibly light. Its a little pricey for a footprint. But i would recommend it to anyone who has a Copper Spur and wants to protect there tent.

This tent is perfect, lightweight if you want to use as a solo tent, or just big enough for two people. This tent is a two person, but i wouldn't want to be stuck in it for hours with two people, If don't mind being close to each other then it would be fine. This tent was awesome for a solo trip, you can have all your gear inside with you. Pretty much a perfect tent, lightweight, big enough for two, but huge for one, high quality, and very durable. If you want a ultralight tent, for either one or two, i would definitely recommend this. Its pretty expensive is the only downside, but you get what you pay for and i'm sure ill enjoy this tent for years to come.

This is a great beanie! I got two of these one in gray/ orange and one in light blue/ dark blue. I have a large head size 8 plus hat. And this beanie fits my head great. It looks good if your on a splitboarders mission, or wearing around town. It does it's job keeping your head warm, that's what it's supposed to do, and it does it great and in style. I would recommend this to anyone.

I got these and wore them about 5 times in the local climbing gym. They are pretty comfortable, but that's about it. The suede on top went to crap in the few times I wore them. The rubber on the bottom is not sticky at all, and your toes will slip off any hold. The rubber on the sole must be super soft because in the few times I wore them you could already see way to much wear. If your going to be climbing not much, and want a fairly cheap shoe, and you are climbing super easy routes this might be for you. I cannot recommend these shoes though. They just aren't for me

I bought two of these sporks one red and one gray, the gray one broke immediately after the first opening. I played around with the red one to see if it would break. I opened and closed it a couple dozen times. And it is completely fine. So this might just be a defect in this one. I'm not sure yet. I will have to send it back and get a new one and see that one does. If it is fine I will definitely recommend this product and keep them. If the next one breaks. I will return both and find another utensil for backcountry use. I will update my review when I get the other one.

These are pretty great. I have the black diamond expedition, and havent used them since. These are my favorite poles by far. They break down tiny and you ca n just put them inside your pack, or strap them to the side. They are super light, and sturdy. I will probably get different baskets and use these for backpacking in the summer also. Great poles and I would recommend them to any splitboarders.

Great all around pack, it's great for snowboard mountaineering, backpacking, climbing, and pretty much anything. This pack has a a frame ski carry, front padded pocket for crampons, a shovel, Or whatever you need to stuff in it. This pack is big enough for 3 or 4 days in the backcountry, if you pack right. The side pockets don't really fit a nalgene but that's not what they are made for so that's ok. There's a pocket in the main compartment for a water reservoir. This a great pack made by an excellent company. If your in the market for a great all around pack. I would definitely recommend this.

this is a great biner, no way you can cross load when belaying. Its a little bit of a pain, but once you get used to it, its fine. Very impressed, and i would recommend this to anyone.

Great ATC for any type of climbing except multi-pitch. Its super light with the side holes cut out. The teeth add a lot of friction. Great belay device. I would recommend this to any climber.

I am a beginner climber and this is my first harness, so I dont know much about anything about climbing yet. But this harness is really comfortable, and i have spent multiple hours in it without any problems. If you are a beginner climber, looking for a cheap comfortable harness to start out in. This is for you, I would recommend this to anyone novice or experienced, such a great harness.

Ive had this knife for about 6 months now, and its still super sharp, and looks like new. It came sharper from the factory than any other knife ive ever had. This is my first benchmade, and i love it. I carry it for and EDC and in the back country. Its a great knife and i will be getting nothing but benchmade from now on. I would recommend this to anyone, who is in the market for a high end knife.

This is a great chalk bag. Its pretty large, but i like this one much better than smaller ones. If you dont want to use it with the strap and on a harness, you'll have to cut the strap off. But its a chalk bag and its a great one. Not much more to say, I would recommend this to anyone.

This stove isnt for the ultralight. Its pretty heavy and takes up more space than smaller canister stoves. But if you are in high elevations or cold temperatures in the winter, and you want a very reliable stove, this is for you. You can cook anything on this, it is so versatile, from a simmer to a jet. Great stove i would recommend this to anyone.

This pack is very comfortable. It can pack up to a week worth of gear no problem, if you pack right. the removable top pocket is really nice for day hikes around camp. the external sleeping pad straps are nice to save room on the inside. The separate sleeping bag compartment is nice so you dont have to unload your whole pack to get to the sleeping bag. The trekking pole carrier is nice, if you need to scramble and need your hands. This is a great pack all around and i would recommend this to anyone.

This is a great snow saw for cutting columns for doing snow pit tests. It can also cut through wood and other materials if needed. It has a 30cm mark for you know how big to cut your columns. You can attach this to your Black diamond Flick lock poles, for doing extended column tests. A great product.

This is a huge bag, it fits everything you can put in it for a week plus vacation. The only thing i dont like about it is that it doesnt keep its form when only half full. But other than that a great bag.

These are by far my favorite goggles. The ventilation is great and they never fog up, even in those long lift lines. They come with two different lenses, one is more for sunny days and one for overcast or night. You can change the lenses within seconds. The best changing system i have ever seen. I will have these for a long time and put them to good use.

This is a great pack for the longer split board tours. It can carry everything you'll need plus some for a tour in the backcountry. It only carries a frame ski carry. it fits my black diamond snow saw, black diamond quick-draw 300 probe, and my voile telepro in the front pocket easily. Plus first aid kit, extra layers, lunch and much more in the main compartment. It has a rope holder on the top, which i use to put my helmet on and it works great. Plus the integrated avalung is a no brainier.

These are by far the warmest mitts I've ever worn. The lobster finger is nice because i'm a snowboarder and doing the binding straps up are much easier than normal mitts. I've had a pair of Burton AK Oven Mitts. And they don't compare. They are a little pricey but as long as my hands are warm I don't even care how much they are. I treated the leather with a NikWax leather waterproof-er and know they are completely waterproof. If you want a lobster mitt get these you wont be disappointed.

These are excellent skins super sticky and never come off the ski, you can go pretty steep on these. Added the tail clip idea below by Neil and Tyler works great. Easy to put on, super sticky to pull apart and a little hard at first.

This is a great probe it deploys in a matter of second. You throw it out and pull, and its ready to go. I think this size of probe is the right size for a probe. It seems really sturdy when going through the snow in rescue scenarios. Great construction and it will last a long time.

I have this beacon and have used it in rescue scenarios, and it has performed flawlessly. I haven't needed to use it in a real life situation and hopefully i don't. When Sh** hits the fan and you need to dig your buddy out you need something simple and effective to locate your buddy and get him out from under the snow. This is the fastest beacon on the market. It is simple, but multi burials are difficult, but those are difficult with any beacon. You don't need the most expensive and complicated beacon to get your buddy out. Overall this is a great three antenna beacon for a great price. Its effective and simple to use.

This is a great pack, its the right size for a day tour. But my shovel handle which is the voile telepro didn't fit in the shovel pocket that is because the telepro has a large handle. My BD snowsaw was tight also in the pocket. MY 300CM BD Quickdraw probe was tight. I have to say I had the small/medium size and my dad had the medium/large and it all fit fine in his. I returned this because it was a little small for me and also my avy equipment didn't fit in it. Great pack all in all but I returned this for the BD Avalung Revelation

I got this base layer shirt along with the ak select pant. They work great, the shirt has the Channel Tech which has better airflow and drys faster. Also it has some kind of stink proof tech. At least that's what Burton says, haven't found out about this yet. Also it has dry ride which takes the moisture away from your body which really does work. If you want a great base layer shirt, get this you wont be disappointed, it does have a pretty hefty price tag though.

I got these and have used them a few times for pre-season shred. Its been down to 10 degrees F, with these and my normal pants. Kept me super warm and dry. These are dry ride. which does its job and does draw the sweat away from you and keep you dry. Also it has this channel technology that has better airflow, so it drys faster. These are a great base layer with a pretty hefty price tag. But if you want in my opinion the best base layer I have worn, get these you wont be disappointed.

this camera is pretty good, it does have a few flaws though. One the GPS doesnt lock sometimes, so its a waste of your battery. But when it does lock it actually is really accurate. Its only water resistant so you have to get a waterproof case if your using underwater. It can stand up to snow, mud, and ect. Without the case. The footage is really good, in 1080. If you don't like the go pro, or think its to hard to use get this. It is super simply to use. One slide button and your recording. Also through Bluetooth you can connect with your Iphone, Ipod, Ipad, Or android phone, to see what your angle is if you need to move the angle you can see what you need to move it too. Works great, if you want an alternative to a go pro get this you wont be disappointed.

Got this shovel, was going to get the BD Deploy 3 shovel, but thought it would be too small. This fits in my Dakine Poacher Pack, with room to spare. I wanted this shovel because the handle really compacts. So I don't have to carry my handle on the outside, and having the chance of it getting ripped off. Also I don't even have to take the handle of which is important in those situations. Seems like a great shovel, which has great durability. And i'm sure it will last forever. If you want a great compact shovel that you can leave the handle on in almost any pack get this you'll love it.

I got these poles for back country snowboarding, and summer backpacking if I have a heavy load. These poles are great and have excellent durability. Black diamond really made a great pole, for anything, but really for skiing or snowboarding. These collapse really small, especially for snowboarding this is important because you have to carry them down on your back. I'm sure these will hold up for a long time. And the FlickLock technology is amazing, and doesn't let the pole move at all. If you want a great pole for backcountry snowboarding get these, you wont be disappointed.

I love these glasses for cycling, or anything. I wear them on a day to day basis. I got the black ones with black iridium and yellow lens. The black iridium is good for about everything. Except really overcast days and nights. If you want a great pair of glasses. That you can interchange the lens with a ton of replacement lens that Oakley makes, get these. They never fog up, and can change the lens in about 30 seconds with the jawbone technology.

These snowshoes are great all around snowshoes. the heel raiser works great when climbing steeper slopes. They don't seem to slip at all. The 180 degree pro binding works great. You can get in and out of the bindings very fast. One buckle and your in. When you get the bindings fit to your boots you don't have to adjust anything just slip your foot in and you walking. Great snowshoe for not a big dent in your wallet.

This bottle does keep the water colder than a normal bottle. I bought two of these for biking. They defiantly work. I would recommend this too anybody, that wants a bottle that keeps your water cool. Defiantly a good buy.

This pack is great for anything in summer, except for overnight, unless you are a minimalist. This pack comes with the 100 oz. antidote reservoir, which keeps you hydrated for a good 3 or 4 hours depending on your fitness level. It has a front pocket that expands, when your biking you can put an xc helmet in it, or hiking, you could stuff an extra layer or something. It's a decent size, not big enough for winter though. Great pack all around. If you want a great summer pack get it. Its definitely worth the money.

I got these last season, because when i saw them i thought i probably wouldnt get my nose pinched with such a wide nose piece. Well that was the case, these goggles dont pinch my nose at all, and thats rare, because usually all goggles do. They also fit my face perfectly i have a pretty small face and there not to big. You can see perfectly with no distortion from the spherical lens. If you want a great goggle with great breath ability, oh ya the breath ability is amazing, these things never fog up on me. If you want a great goggle get these there the best.

Got this last season, just thought i would review it. It's a great board for all mountain, does great in park, pow, or just anything you throw at it. It does great in the pow floats perfect, i have the 153 and it floats great, im 5'8" 150lbs. and it does a great job. Get this board if you want an all mountain board, defiantly worth the money.

I have last years Travis Rice Pro Model, it's a great board for all mountain. It performs in the park great, rails great, but where this board shines is in the back country. With the C2 Power Banana, plus the magne-traction, its the best board i have ever ridden. It has a good flex not super stiff not too soft, i think on lib's flex scale, its like a six or seven. The board, floats well in the powder, last seasons i have the 153, it did great in the park, and well in the back country, i'm 5'8" and 150lbs. and it floated fairly well. The new model i got a 157 for the back country, and i'm just waiting for the white stuff to fall, to get to use it. If you want a great all mountain board get it, defiantly worth the money.

I got this with my prolite plus sleeping pad. Some sacks its hard to get the pad into, you get a nice tight roll, and it fits fine in this sack, with some spare room. Its durable, I usually carry it on the outside of my pack, and it hasnt ripped yet. Worth the money.

Great sleeping pad, you cant feel the ground when you sleep on your sides, also keeps the cold out when using in winter. Also it compacts down, really small. Its pretty light weight also. When sleeping you are super comfortable, and warm if use in winter. Some people say there's leaks mine has worked flawlessly. Its a great sleeping pad all around, and I would buy another.

Just got this pack, it's really nice, haven't been able to get out and use it yet. But the internal shovel/probe, pocket is nice, a tight squeeze though. The small mesh pockets on the back panel are nice, for those items, you want to get to fast. Also the back access, I like it a ton, first time with a back access, and its really nice to get to that stuff at the bottom, and you don't have to tear everything else. Insulated hydration sleeve is really nice too. Bottom line its a great pack, straps are always way to long though.
