Got it from D. of G. last summer for $70...what a great deal. I use this jacket on a regular basis for both front country and backcountry ski adventures and it's held up to a variety of conditions. I live on the West coast, and have done day tours in the rain with this. Between the external rain and the inside sweat, you're not going to be 100% dry by the end of a long day, but for the price I'm more than happy with its performance. When I went for a 5 day backcountry ski trip in Rogers Pass (minus 10 deg C to minus 25 deg C), this jacket did very well with the proper layering techniques (given that it has no built-in insulation of its own).If you are skiing in colder climes and need to layer for warmth then definitely SIZE UP.
I bought the small at first, as the measurements given seemed large already, but ended up exchanging for a medium. Now it's got a nice relaxed, but not bulky, fit with room for an insulated jacket underneath (see profile pic for a better idea). For size reference, I am 5' 3", 110 lbs, so usually a size XS or S...but in this case a M.
Plus it looks really good, not that aesthetics should be that important...but this beats most other drab-looking jacket equivalents out there.
