Great jacket so far

The North Face Redpoint Insulated Jacket - Men's

I bought this somewhat recently to replace my North Face fleece...I have lost a ton of weight recently and needed a new jacket, and was also looking for something thin and single layer I can wear when I go out to bars during the winter. Didn't even think of layering it when I bought it. I got it just after the real cold disappeared, but on the few 40 degree days we have had since it has been amazing. Very warm and very comfortable. It seems like it should be even better for layering than my fleece was based on the reviews here. I cant wait to try it out next fall when I get a new shell in my new size. Overall, so far, I really cannot recommend it enough. It has been exactly as advertised.
