Patagonia Down Sweater Jacket - Men's

Patagonia Down Sweater Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 December 21, 2010

This sweater is a really good quality item but if it gets wet your gonna be pretty cold. I would honestly suggest buying a jacket that is made of primaloft or synthetic down just because you will stay warm even if you get wet.

Jetboil Flash Personal Cooking System

Rating for this product: 4 December 21, 2010

T and I just dried out some wet wood ass we set up camp for the night. He brought along his jet boil so we could travel light and eat well. We made some noodles went to sleep and hiked early the next morning. This product is very convenient for the mountainous folk.

Pow Skiin'

Faction Skis Royale Ski

Rating for this product: 5 December 21, 2010

Skiing in deep pow is the best but this ski has made it better. Super playful and landing are easy with a fat board under each foot. The tail being smaller than the rest of the ski makes it a lot easier to land switch in the pow. I would say for newschool pow skiing this is the ski you want to be on.

Black Diamond Drop Zone Crash Pad

Rating for this product: 4 October 12, 2010

This pad can be really helpful when you are trying to cover rocks. The pad folds over like a taco and becomes a good tool for covering sketchy landings.

Scarpa Vapor V Climbing Shoe - Discontinued Vibram XS Grip2

Scarpa Vapor V Climbing Shoe - Discontinued Vibram XS Grip2

Rating for this product: 4 September 4, 2010

The Scarpa Vapor is a great shoe for overhangs with little toes. I went from a normal shoe to this performance shoe and it improved my climbing by teaching me to use and learn better footwork along with patience climbing up the wall. I mostly boulder so I try to not wear out my shoes fast but this shoe is excellent for bouldering. I wouldn't use them in the gym just because they are quite expensive but if you have money then these shoes are a great shoe for anything.

Mad Rock Flash Climbing Shoe - Men's

Mad Rock Flash Climbing Shoe - Men's

Rating for this product: 3 August 16, 2010

The Mad Rock Flash is a decent shoe but wears out quickly. Climbing at the gym is painful on these shoes, the toe starts to rip and the sole as well. The upside of the shoe is that they are pretty cheap and you can use them in the winter in the gym until you get out on some real rock, then it's time to bring in the performance shoe. I like being able to use different shoes for different things and with the Mad Rocks I can climb in the gym and not be worried that I am ruining some expensive climbing shoe. All in all I think the shoe is ok but really good for beginner climbers.

Faction Skis 3.Zero Ski

Rating for this product: 5 March 9, 2010

The 3.zero is a ski for any type of terrain. A ton of camber under foot makes them a great ski for jumping and the stiff tail makes them great for stomping landings. The stiff tail allows you to go faster down hardpack but then you can take them into the backcountry, build a booter and be able to stomp your tricks. This has been my favorite ski in a while and they are just going to develop more. I would say all in all the 3.zero is an epic ski!
