I bought a pair just before a trip to Peru to hike to Machu Picchu; many reviews warned that these were for day-trips and not multi-day hiking adventures. But after five days trekking through the Andean highlands, I beg to differ. They offer comfort and stability, and even have decent waterproofing for snow or mud hiking. As a plus, they are low profile, so they can be worn casually as well.
Please ensure you give them at least a week to break in, in order to get proper flexibility in the sole. Quite frankly, they may not fit you appropriately out of the box. However, after several hiking trips in various climes, I can vouch for the comfort and functionality of these shoes.
