There is one button on each end of the sleeve to button to a zip-in compatible jacket...If your jacket allows for zipin jackets then this jacket will go into it..I have my Denali zipped into my triclimate jacket for temps below 32degree F...I don't have an issue with being cold....

No this will not work well for cold conditions...It appears to be a shell...For cold temps I would in my opinion go with a down jacket...

All the tri-climate jackets from North face will run you about 250 bucks and up...Sometimes you can find them on sale which is a big help...The tri-climates are nice because you can decide what you want to wear and also you can also change out the zip-out liner for something heavier if need be...Some of the tri-climate jackets have zip-in liners, and I have my Denali windproof fleece as my zip-in liner...

I use my side zipper to get to things in the backpack...I pack my items so that I can access the ones I need with the most ease from the side zipper...

You can wear a Denali Fleece on the inside but you can not zip it into the jacket...Its pretty much wearing two jackets one over the other....

This jacket is just a shell not much protection from winter temps..i doubt this would even hold up the 30 degrees F...You will have to go with a heavy down jacket or a Triclimate jacket with layers to protect from cold that bad...

I wear mediums in TNF jackets and you are about the same size as I am...

25 psi is a lot of water hitting the jacket...You have to be a hurricane for water pressures like that...

You can place this jacket over your Red Point Down but I don't think it will zip into the Red Point Jacket...Here are some shells that allow zip-in compatible jackets...
Sizing is going to be your issue with your Down jacket being a base and making sure that its not too small or too big...

Yes they are most of the time made out of mesh material...no real hand liners for warmth...

Your Triclimate jackets will do well for wind and rainy conditions...They do cost more but you get two jackets and you can decide how you want to wear them...Fleece jackets do not stop wind at all...You will need to find jackets that have taped seams...Here are some jackets that will do a good job with stopping wind and they also have a zip-in jacket for warmth added to them...The last one is not a triclimate jacket it has some insulation built into the jacket but has taped seams. Hopefully this will help your search

I would contact backcountry themselves to find out if the color you want will come in stock again...The only color that I see that is out is the Black...On the upper right corner of the webpage next to profile and account there is a "Chat Button" they are really helpful and will be able to help you with stocking options...

Large would be way too big for your size...Medium is what I would get...

There is a liner inside the glove but it can not be removed...The lining is made of poly tricot or 100% polyester...The lining keeps your hands nice and soft on the inside of the glove...From the inside of the glove is the liner made of poly tricot, then the insulation is next and then the shell of the glove...I love my Montana gloves...I have the adult men's version of them but they do a good job of keeping your hands warm...

If you are deciding between the Windpro or the Denali fleece...Go with the Windpro version...The windpro will take on some light rain but not for too long...It will soak in...The fabric on the windpro to me is soft to the touch...Its not super stiff by any means...I am 6'0 160lbs and I wear a medium jacket...The sleeves on the windpro are a little big and baggy...I seem to like them that way...The regular Denali doesn't match up to the windpro version...You do pay more but its worth it to me in the end...

The black jacket has a red lined collar like the picture posted above...Dont know why that one pic is not showing the red...

My winter boots that I have made by Northface are stiff too...I have been wearing them around trying to loosen them up...So far they are getting less stiff..I just stand on my toes and bend up and down and jump up and down to get the bend broken in...

Yes it can withstand the water and it has fully taped seams to keep water out of the stitching...up to 25psi of water hitting it...The shell is slick in nature and the water beads right off the jacket...This seems to be the same with all triclimate jackets that I have from North Face...

Yes it is...I have the same jacket zipped into my 3 in 1 triclimate jacket for below 32 degrees...It will definitely help you keep warm...I had to open my pit zips to vent...I just button the sleeves into my shell there is no collar button to tie to a shell...

Weight doesn't really have anything to do with fitting jackets since everyone cares weight differently on their bodies...The size of the chest,waist,neck and sleeves are what is needed for a proper fit of a jacket...The size button next to the "add to Cart" will help you decide what will fit...

No jacket will fully stop wind no matter what it says...But like any shell jacket that has taped seams it will 99% of the wind, but that doesn't mean you wont get cold unless you are layered with clothing...The biggest wind that will come in the jacket will be around the face area...

The length from the center of the back of a person is 46 inches to the base of the jacket so it should go past your knees...Unless you are really tall...

Being a North Face jacket that is a light blue color...If you want a dark Blue then some of the other North Face jacket have a deep blue or almost midnight blue...

To me they look like they are there if you want their feet and hands to stick out of the one piece...If the wind picks up then you can place their hands and feet in the pockets to protect them against the wind..

The fleece is woven into a checkered pattern...The pattern makes a tighter weave that makes it more wind resistant...The jacket itself is not totally wind proof...My complaint is with the hand pockets and the mesh inside...This allows cold wind to move through the jacket...If those are not open then it does a good job with wind...

I would call these more of a mid/low glove on bulk...They do have some thickness but not as much as like the bulky North Face Montana Gloves that I own...The North Face Montana gloves would be a bulky glove compared to these...

To choose the right size you need to measure from the base of the wrist to the tip of the middle finger...This will give you how many inches you will need...There is a chart next to where you add to cart that says "Size" on it...Click on it and it will tell you the length and what size fits that length...

I would have to agree that the Triclimate jacket shells or any zip-in compatible jacket will work fine. This jacket will zip right into a shell and button at the sleeves to hold it into place...

That is one thing that always bothers me with some North Face jackets is the difference in zipper pulls...I know they are trying to make them colormatch, but at least make the photos show this to customers...

The North Face Denali Wind Pro Fleece Jacket is a good choice for that...It does cost a lot more than the windwall jackets but the fleece is woven in a square pattern that helps in its wind resistance...Sometimes you can find them on sale...

I can not find anything saying that its weather proof like rain proof...I know you can buy sprays that will waterproof polyester just like you waterproof a tent. If it doesn't work then you can always return the product...100% satisfaction

I would say it wouldn't handle the coldness of Minnesota...I would say that jacket would be ok in 30-50 degree temps...It seems like a good jacket for layering up in the winter but not by itself in below freezing temps.

This jacket is not zip-in compatible....You will have to look for one that says zip-in compatible...

The hood on the jacket is attached at all times but its adjustable...The origin of where its made is probably in China or some other country...Most companies get their stuff from overseas and its not made in the US....

The back logo will be black on the black jacket and red on the red jacket...

From other websites that I have looked at shows that it has zippered handwarmer pockets...And the Northface logo will be in Red on the right upper side on the back...

You should be able to zip up a North Face fleece jacket in the zippers and take out the inner jacket...I have a Headwall Triclimate jacket which appears to be the same design and I replaced the inner jacket with a wind resistant fleece jacket from North Face...You just have to button the sleeves and back of the fleece jacket to the shell jacket...

It's a fixed hood that can be adjustable from NorthFace website....
