Bell Helmets Sweep Helmet

March 20, 2010

An important thing to consider is a place that has a satisfaction guarantee. If it doesn't fit you can always return it then.

That being said I am the same way. I measure right at 59 and have found that both the Large AND the Medium fit me fine. Keep in mind that just because your head measures right at 59 doesn't mean you want your helmet to be exactly that. It should fit like a belt, not too tight but not loose.

I went with a large helmet because it still fits snuggly and I have some extra room for the winter when I want to wear a cap or balaclava under it. The choice is yours, good luck!

Giro Saros Cycling Helmet

March 11, 2010

Thanks, I appreciate it. Yeah I was just looking at specs, I didn't mind if it had 19 large ones because I know it's a good helmet. I found a Bell Sweep for the same price that I might pick up. I'm kind of torn between them. Thanks again.

Giro Saros Cycling Helmet

March 10, 2010

I see that this says 23 vents but there a bunch of other sites saying 19. Just curious..I see the 2010 version on the Giro site says 23 so I'm assuming that's the same as the 2009?

Also, is there anything different between this and the 2010 version other than the colors?

Good shorts, definitely fit for riding

Giordana Silverline Cycling Short - Men's

Giordana Silverline Cycling Short - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 February 25, 2010

I got these shorts because they were on sale and I needed something to throw in the rotation for my louis garneau's. The sizing is the same as the LG's (except with Giordana you should size up..it's euro sizing) but the cut of the fabric is a lot different.

The Silverline's panels curve forward to accommodate your riding. If you're just standing off the bike or walking around they'll sag a bit (not too much) in the butt and such. Also the front is cut lower than the LG's.This concerned me but as soon as you get on the bike and get into position the panels straighten out and you're ready to go (and you're not buying shorts to walk around in are you?....don't lie...we know you wanna look cool ;)

The chamois is a little thinner than I'm used to but it is very smooth to the touch. The stitching is also superb (not to mention very attractive) inside and out. I don't know about durability yet but they definitely look like they'll hold up a long time.

In conclusion, these are one of the better middle of the line shorts and I would recommend them to anyone looking for another pair for their rotation. They won't do you wrong.

Pearl Izumi Amfib Bib Tight - Men's

February 24, 2010

The sizing is pretty accurate (as it usually is with PI). I usually wear a size large short and a size large tight is just right. I tried medium and it was really small on me and the xl was very big.

Go with what you'd usually get I'd say.

they do run a tad long though.

Bell Helmets Array Helmet

February 24, 2010

Not from what I experienced. I don't own it but I've tried a few on and it felt pretty good to me. It's not THEE lightest of the Bell line but it is up there with some of the best (I think the array is their first or second model down from the 250 dollar ones.

Hutchinson Fusion 2 Ultra Road Tire

February 18, 2010

This is just a regular tire. They make it in a tubular but you will need to buy an inner tube to go with this.
