These bindings are light, and the action when walking is second to none but they are not as durable as I had hoped from a DIN 12 binding. After about 100 days, the post that the heel piece rotates on cracked badly on one of the bindings and the other was showing signs of wear (like this http://kootenayskier.wordpress.com/2007/04/15/destructable-dynafits/). The bindings were warrantied with no questions but non the less I was frustrated since they never saw the ski hill, where you might expect something like this from a touring binding. A friend started skiing on the G3 Dynafit-esque binding after years on Dynafit and says great things. The heel is DIN 12 and has elastic travel like a conventional binding (part of the reason the Dynafits failed) and you can lock the toe. Its also nice that you can climb with the toe pieces unlocked when crossing sketchy slopes, and apparently there is an FR version in the works.
The FT12 is defiantly a step above the Fritchi in terms of lightness and walk "action", but for me at 190cm and about 100kg, they are not suitable.
