Smith Vantage Helmet

So far this helmet is everything I hoped. When I first got the box I thought it was empty. The helmet is crazy lightweight, under 1 lb. The fit is great for my head, though obviously I would recommend trying any helmet on before buying it as our melons are all a bit different. The vantage is very low profile and looks darn good too. I got the Cyan and love the color, nice to have something besides black and grey like everyone else.
I had a giro omen, there most high end model, before this and, while it was a good helmet, the Vantage pretty much categorically blows it out of the water, especially on weight and style points. Pretty much was destined to buy this helmet when I switched goggles from Oakleys to Smiths. The IO goggles fit so good it should be illegal.

Side note: I wore Oakleys for a long time and recently switched to Smiths. I can honestly say the smiths are vastly superior to the oakleys. The lens quality is better and the lenses are sooo much more durable the two are not even comparable. Go with smith, you won't regret it.

So far just four stars because I haven't had a chance to check durability, but, initial impressions.... Awesome! The fit is great, I'm a lanky 6'5" and the XL was plenty long, with a inseam that appears to be just over 34 inches. The fit is great and really like the color too, went with the blue, or vintage or whatever they call it. I will update on durability as i use them but so far my expectations have been exceeded by these pants! Go Stoic and keep it up Backcountry!
