I am 5'7" and have long arms also and have the same problem. You will not be disappointed. My size 8 has plenty of length in the sleeve (no gap with my mittens).

I am 5'7" and 135 lbs and the size 8 is a perfect fit. I usually wear medium in everything. I have long legs and arms, and the sleeves of my coat fit me perfectly.

Mountain Hardwear Downtown Down Coat - Women's

I have been wearing my Downtown coat for a few weeks now in the subzero wind chills of Wisconsin. Even with only a light sweater underneath, it is plenty warm. With the hood, I don't have to carry a hat and scarf. It may not be the most stylish outerwear, but I don't mess around with style when it's this cold! No complaints. (And Backcountry delivered FAST!)
