Are the hand pockets still uninsulated? I returned one of these

Are the hand pockets still uninsulated? I returned one of these about a year ago because of this. Really regretted it, but uninsulated hand pockets are a deal breaker in a worst-of-winter jacket for me.

Is this jacket a lot more delicate than the non-hooded version,

Patagonia Fitz Roy Hooded Down Jacket - Men's

Is this jacket a lot more delicate than the non-hooded version, which has 50 denier polyester shell fabric? I don't know what to make of the "microdenier" material used for the hooded one.

Another question: since the hooded version weighs less, does it seem less warm than the un-hooded one? I've only tried on the un-hooded. I realize some of this difference is due to the higher fill power of the down in the hooded one, but the fact that it's also longer and has a hood makes me worry that it's not as substantial. I'd be curious to know what someone who's tried on both thinks.
