First of all, this ski is awesome. I would recommend it for anyone who wants to rip the whole mountain. That said, with its early rise tip and tail, it is more geared towards the powder and crud. The Nomad that you have (and likely the one that will come out next year) will be better on the groomers than this ski. But if you spend more time in the steep and deep than in the groomed, pick yourself up a pair of these oversized toothpicks.

These are incredible. I bought one pair just to test them out and ended up buying two more a few months later because I was so whooped. They will handle any abuse you can give them, and will last for years. Or decades. I'll probably be wearing these same pants 20 years from now. As with all things Carhartt, the fit is a teeny bit big, so consider sizing down. I love the Dungaree fit.

The screws that come with the plates are sized for the HammerHeads, not the Axls.

Q: Can I mount your bindings on K2 or Voile Skis with inserts?
A: Yes. For HammerHeads and BombShells, we have an insert adapter plate available if you want to use the inserts. However, you can also mount them by drilling and mounting as you would on any other ski. The HammerHead's mounting pattern is the strongest around, so there's no need to worry about bindings ripping out. The screws that come with the plates are sized for the HammerHeads, not the Axls. If you want to mount Axls, again we recommend drilling, but if you want to use the plates you'll need to buy shorter M6 screws and possibly grind the screw heads down.
