I've been running on the Fireblades for 3 years now (6 pairs) and I can't find them anymore. Absolutely the best trail running shoe I've ever worn. What did they replace it with? Does anyone know of a suitable replacement?

I use the BCA Tracker. My friend uses this patroller and he used it to save my life in a slab avalanche I started last Christmas eve. I was buried about 2 feet under the surface and he found me in under 10 minutes. I had a small air pocket, but I wouldn't have lasted another 10 minutes. This is a really good beacon (not the best) that any cost-conscience backcountry traveler should have.

Best tour boot I've ever used

Scarpa Spirit 3 Alpine Touring Ski Boot

This is my fourth pair of AT boots and by fart the best. My feet are always warm and comfortable. I have read reviews concerning the weird arch, and I definitely felt it too when I first got the boots. However, after getting them heat molded - they are a dream to walk on - you know all the time spent "earning the turns." Great boot for a closeout price!
