cute but not slim fit

I am a size 2 and ordered these in size 4 because that was the smallest available at BC. Thought they would work because of the slim fit. Wrong! They run a bit big, especially at the waist. Found them in size 2 through another store but even the size 2 was still a bit big. I washed them hot and put them in the dryer (which you are not supposed to according the tag) but I knew there is a chance for shrinkage because they are 70% cotton.And they did shrink and now they fit me perfect, more slim fit, very cute and flattering. Also the washing (or drying) made them softer and somehow the fabric is now lighter - exactly what I was looking for. The olive color is very pretty and goes with a lot of summer colors like pink, aqua, yellow.

does this jacket fit tight at shoulders/chest? I am athletic build with fairly broad shoulders, 5'4, 125 lbs, chest 35", waist 28.5", hips 35". Not sure whether to order a medium or small for a comfortable yet flattering fit. Thanks for your help!

what is the front length of this vest? (I bought it 2 years ago and the front length was much shorter then the back, not as flattering. Now I am hoping that they updated the style, got the Animagi vest and it has a very nice and flattering length)
