Giordana FormaRed Carbon Custom Short Sleeve Women's Jersey

Giordana FormaRed Carbon Custom Short Sleeve Women's Jersey

Rating for this product: 5 January 13, 2013

When my beloved pair of Castelli bibs blew a seam on a ride (luckily I noticed it when I got home and didn't have to deal with the knowledge that I was riding home with a slash of my butt cheek exposed) I decided to give the FRC bibs a try and splurged on the matching jersey. I have been more than pleasantly surprised. Even straight out of the packaging I was impressed with the workmanship and quality of the material. The jersey is ridiculously comfortable with a close fit but doesn't make me feel like a human sausage. The material feels and works great while looking sharp as well. At half price, it's a bargain to get a matching, quality kit.

Note: I have the Black/White Arco and the white is pretty transparent although it is placed appropriately. I don't have any crazy patterned sports bras or tattoos, but if I did, you would definitely be able to see them.

Outstanding

Giordana FormaRed Carbon Custom Women's Bib Shorts

Rating for this product: 5 January 13, 2013

When my beloved pair of Castelli bibs blew a seam on a ride (luckily I noticed it when I got home and didn't have to deal with the knowledge that I was riding home with a slash of my butt cheek exposed) I decided to give these a try along with the matching jersey. Even straight out of the packaging I was impressed with the workmanship and quality of the material. They're ridiculously comfortable, feel great, and look sharp. At half price, you can't find a better set of bibs.

Note: I have the Black/White Arco and the white is pretty transparent although it is placed appropriately. I don't have any tattoos, but if I did, you would definitely be able to see them.

Update: I was stretching after my first ride in them. After thinking the whole ride how great they were, I realized that the seams that attach the chamois to the bib had already started to wear on the inside of the thigh. Argh, I really like these bibs, but I'm still within Realcyclist's great 60-day return policy window. Looks like these babies are going back.

I love mine

Marmot Minimalist Jacket - Women's

Marmot Minimalist Jacket - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 December 5, 2010

I've been caught in subtropical deluges in this jacket and stayed dry. It's water proof, breathable, lightweight, packs down surprisingly small and still manages to have a flattering fit. It has enough room for a sweater underneath, but if you're planning on doing serious layering you will need to go up a size.

I bought one pair, then another in a different color. I'm back again looking for a third. They're comfortable, stylish and practical. I practically live in mine. I wish the newer model Prana Convertible pants had the same cargo pockets near the knees.

Well worth it.

Exped SynMat Sleeping Pad

Exped SynMat Sleeping Pad

Rating for this product: 5 December 5, 2010

I bought the 2009 model less than a year ago and I've spent over 3 months sleeping on it from the heat of Thailand to the cold of Korea. It's comfortable, it keeps you warm, and it's durable. What's not to love? Of course there is that fact that you look like an idiot trying to do CPR on a mat for a minute or so while pumping it up. Use it as an opportunity to talk up your sweet gear and make your buddy jealous of how well you're going to sleep.

Rating for this product: 5 December 4, 2010

This jacket has a great fit, the soft shell is legitimately soft while breathing and shedding water well. There's a comfortable microfleece liner that makes it comfortable next to the skin to throw on for running errands. There is enough room in the cut and give in the material to be able to layer effectively. It packs down small too, making it easy to throw in for trips. Mine has been around the U.S., Japan, and Korea with me.

Osprey Packs Talon 22 Backpack - 1200-1300cu in

Rating for this product: 5 December 4, 2010

Great day pack. It's surprisingly comfortable and lightweight with good straps and suspension system. You can fit a lot of gear in the main portion, even with a full bladder in the separate sleeve. You have to withstand the temptation to add just one more thing, because it seems like this pack can always fit a bit more. I was surprised the first time I packed it how with all of the little pockets for small items. It's a well thought out design and I highly recommend this pack.

Rating for this product: 4 May 18, 2010

Overall really like the shirt. It's soft, good quality with a fun logo that people either understand or don't. Be prepared for those who don't understand to stare quizzically at your chest for an extended period of time. I agree that it runs a bit on the small side.

Great bibs

Castelli Truly Free Cycling Bib Short - Women's

Castelli Truly Free Cycling Bib Short - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 October 24, 2009

Overall these are great bibs. They're extremely comfortable, high quality material and workmanship. I would definitely recommend them, but keep in mind that they do run a bit on the small side and the inseam is an inch or two shorter than my other shorts. I'll be wearing them so much I guess I'll have to re-establish my tan line.
