Yeah... these shorts are perfect. I have nothing negative to say except for perhaps the price... a little steep - but worth it. I wear these all the time for everything.

Five Ten Jet 7 Climbing Shoe

Five Ten Jet 7 Climbing Shoe

Rating for this product: 5 November 22, 2009

This shoe is fantastic. Please size this small... is see way too many people that size these like street shoes and the downturn is turned completely flat (along with their toes). If your looking for an all around shoe buy anasazis. This shoe is fantastic for steep bouldering and sport.

Also... this shoe runs a size or a size and a half larger than other fivetens I own. I wear 8 in Verde... 7 in Jets.

Five Ten Anasazi VCS Climbing Shoe - 2012 Model

Five Ten Anasazi VCS Climbing Shoe - 2012 Model

Rating for this product: 5 November 22, 2009

I have the 'Velcro' version of this shoe. But it's pretty similar to the 'vcs'... save the heel and rubber.
It is my best all around shoe from slab to overhang. I love these shoes and will get them resoled soon!
I recommend sizing them small enough so that when the shoe stretches it will conform to your foot.

Five Ten Anasazi Verde Lace-up Climbing Shoe

Five Ten Anasazi Verde Lace-up Climbing Shoe

Rating for this product: 4 November 22, 2009

I like just about everything about this shoes... they edge very well, the rubber is sticky, and (perhaps due to tight sizing) heel hook well.

The one gripe I have is the rubber on the top of the toe is starting to peel away from the upper. I have tried to remedy with super glue but it is starting to peel away again.

I own both (velco and verde) and they fit my feet very similarly, however my Verde's are a .5 size smaller (8 vs 8.5)

Marmot Minimalist Jacket - Men's

Marmot Minimalist Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 November 22, 2009

This is my go-to hard shell for wet conditions. It has always kept me dry. The material is very durable... my jacket has no scratches at all. This jacket doesn't take up too much space and is light weight so I almost always take it with me regardless of the conditions.

Marmot, among others, has released newer, lighter waterproof shells lately, but don't rule this jacket out. It's fantastic.

Mountain Hardwear Sub Zero SL Hooded Down Jacket - Men's

Mountain Hardwear Sub Zero SL Hooded Down Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 3 November 20, 2009

I purchased 5 down jackets and this jacket didn't win here's why:

This is a good jacket with lots of fill (albeit only 650 fill). The jacket's shell is fairly burly and you would not have to be delicate with it by any means. This jacket has one of the best hood/collar arrangements - fully adjustable/perfect. No complaints about the features.

But seriously... lengthen this jacket. This was the major thing I disliked about the jacket.

FYI - I got these jackets and would rank them in this order:
Rab Neutrino Endurance
Patagonia Fitz Roy
Marmot Greenland
Mountain Hardwear Sub-Zero SL Jacket
Marmot Ama Dablam (not enough down for what i was looking for)

Marmot Ama Dablam Down Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 November 20, 2009

I purchased 5 different down jackets and this jacket didn't win...

It wasn't enough fill/warm enough for what i was looking for. However, I don't want to discount this jacket too much. It would be a perfect jacket when weight is a big concern and your not worried about the cold too much.

FYI - I got these jackets and would rank them in this order:
Rab Neutrino Endurance
Patagonia Fitz Roy
Marmot Greenland
Mountain Hardwear Sub-Zero SL Jacket
Marmot Ama Dablam (not enough down for what i was looking for)

Rab Neutrino Endurance Down Jacket - Men's

Rab Neutrino Endurance Down Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 November 20, 2009

And the winner is the Neutrino Endurance by Rab!

I got 5 different jackets and this jacket came out on top. Too many good features to beat:
- This jacket has the highest fill down (850), while most others had 800. Not that big of a deal.
- A hood that isn't over sized and can be cinched around your head leaving no cold spots.
- A near-waterproof finish. Only MHW Sub-Zero had something more than DWR.
- Light weight... a couple of the other jackets were lighter, but only slightly.
- A shell that can actually stand up to some abuse... although not as beefy as MHW Sub.

Basically, I couldn't find anything wrong with this jacket aside from the strange looking bill on the hood.

FYI - I got these jackets and would rank them in this order:
Rab Neutrino Endurance
Patagonia Fitz Roy
Marmot Greenland
Mountain Hardwear Sub-Zero SL Jacket
Marmot Ama Dablam (not enough down for what i was looking for)

Really good jacket

Patagonia Fitz Roy Hooded Down Jacket - Men's

Patagonia Fitz Roy Hooded Down Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 November 20, 2009

I purchased this jacket along with 4 others and picked the best from all of them. This jacket was 2nd place. I will tell you why:

Its freakin sweet warm, light, compressible, fleece lined pockets, only 1 zipper (not 2 like every other jacket - which is more annoying than useful), and a good hood. My review probably wont even give the Fitz Roy enough credit... this jacket really is good.

So why didn't I keep this jacket... it was up against the Rab Neutrino Endurance.

Marmot Greenland Baffled Down Jacket - Men's

Marmot Greenland Baffled Down Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 3 November 20, 2009

Okay so I ended up returning this jacket. This was due to the hood being too big (even when I tightened the velcro all the way). I'm not sure why marmot decided to make the hood so big... i really can't imagine someone using this jacket while wearing a helmet (maybe belaying somewhere with loose rock that could fall on your head?). Regardless, this is a pretty darn good down insulator. It's extremely puffy, lots of down, really nice features. Fix the hood and this is the jacket.

I'm not sure what the guy was talking about with no down in the sleeves... maybe he received some defect but the one I received had sleeves loaded with down, along with the rest of the jacket.
