I'm torn between the Talon 22 and the Stratos 24 for mainly day hiking use and maybe some peak climbs. I have larger packs (from Osprey which are awesome), but looking for something small that can fit a few meals, light gear, rain jacket and essential items and a 3L Hydration system. I'm leaning towards the Stratos since its a bit larger is suppose to have a better suspension system. Thoughts?

Does the vestibule door go over the top of the tent? I've heard thats a major design flaw in the UL2. Anyone had an issue with water coming directly into the tent when you open the vestibule door? Dave

I'm about to head out next month to Philmont Scout Ranch for an 80 mile 12 day trek in New Mexico as the adult leader. I need a pack that will carry 40-43lbs of gear comfortably. My main goal is a good suspension system with a good comfortable hip belt. Does this pack fill those needs? Thoughts would be appreciated.

I'm about to head out to Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico for an 80 mile, 12 day trek as the adult leader. I've decided my pack is too heavy. Is this a good pack for 40lb-42lb load? I've heard the straps and belt are not too confortable. I'm looking for a light weight pack thas is comfortable over the long haul. Thoughts?
