They are actually super comfortable. I know they look like hard plastic on the picture but they are actually silicon and super soft and squishy. They adjust like most headphones, pull the speaker away from the band and it will extend.

Dont judge headphones by their look

Nixon Whip Headphones

Nixon Whip Headphones

Rating for this product: 5 March 30, 2010

Yes i am like most people and do judge everything intially by looks. But i like to think that i am the type of person where that only last a moment then I get on with my life and think "Nothing is as it seems." SO TRUE WITH THESE HEADPHONES. i mean just look at them. For most people (Like me) I saw these and said "Man these things are ugly and plastic... why would anyone buy them? These things are much more amazing then they look. Heres what i have come to find:
Super light Weight (It is like ur holding a pencil they are that light)
The earpad things- Omg they arent hard plastic. They are supper soft and squish and they stick to beanies amazingly well.
Looks- They are plain compared to skullcandies but the goldenrod stand out and i love their brightness
sound quality- Nothing to go bragging to your friends about but it is crystal clear and good for riding to. Not something i would wear if i was actually just focused on the music.
DONT BE FOOLED. These are amazing headphones and i suggest trying them over the skullcandy icons anyday. Well worth the extra money

Skullcandys only good product for price

Skullcandy Icon Headphones

Skullcandy Icon Headphones

Rating for this product: 4 March 10, 2010

This is the only skullcandy product that i won't troll about. These have no sound quality to brag about (but the sound quality is clear and gets the job done. i guess it is good sound quality for the prie no question) but who the hell buys these for sound? THESE THINGS ARE FANTASTIC TO RIDE WITH. they are super light weight, super comfortable, and don't fall off your head very easily when throwing bigger tricks. They blow out easily and break even easier. But who cares? They are cheap they get the job done and they look sick.
Main point: Don't buy these if your looking for HIGH (buy for OK )quality sound, buy these if your looking for something to ride with that is as lightweight as earbuds but doesn't go inside your ear

So my question is... can someone that has owned these for over atleast 3 months comment on them and give a little light to the people actually looking for quality headphones that don't blowout or break after 3 months of actually not 30 min a day but 3 or more hours a day of listening?
Or am i seriously the only person ever to have a crappy experience with EVERY Skullcandy headphones i have own? and trust me i have owned all of skull candy product but the agents and double agents

Skullcandy Ti Stereo Headphones

March 10, 2010

Can anyone actually comment on these that didn't just buy them out of the box? I mean honestly. i have owned these headphones and blew them out in 3 months. I too was like "These are so sick and the sound is so awesome and i dont know anything about real headphones except that these are expensive and look cool so they have to be great" I bet most of these 5 star comments are people that jsut opened the package less then a month... na less then a week after they bought them. I know some people get lucky and have a good time with skullcandy headphoens but i find that sooooooo rare with people that actually listen to music as a way of life. I listen to music everyday for 4 hours at a min. and on a snowboarding day probably 10 hours.

Skullcandy Ti Stereo Headphones

March 10, 2010

dont get either man skullcandy is overated. Seriously... people like them cause they think they are underground which they arent anymore btw. and they buy them cause they look cool. QUALITY OVER STYLE PEOPLE... Suffering for fashion is one thing i agree with but not when it comes to headphones. I HIGHLY suggest checking out the Aerial7 tank headphones. Same price with a 57 mm driver for even more bass than these... 40 mm standard "going to blow out after 3 months of use" headphones. And i personally think the aerial7s look steezy as hell.

Aerial7 Tank Headphones

Aerial7 Tank Headphones

Rating for this product: 5 March 6, 2010

I bought these half a year ago, way before they were on dogfunk.com. I was looking for something very similar looking to skullcandy T.I.'s cause i hated those headphones but like the styles. Then i saw these while surfing the web through pages of headphones. For the money, they are by far the best headphones i have ever owned. I have yet to blow these out. And i seriously have not had headphones last for longer then 3 months, besides these. I can not say enough good things about these things. the mic clip switches songs for regular ipods too. OMG i love these headphones. Aerial7 kicks the ass out of skullcandy, Broadcasting by The comeback kid, OMG i don't even bother listening to it on any other headphones then these. I wear these for atleast 4 hours a day while doing homework, surfing the internet, or taking the bus and wanting to be in my own world. and 4 hrs of these and they are still super comfortable. I know its a unknown brand but please give them a shot over skullcandy. They only have a 1 year manufactures warrenty (DF has lifetime warrenty) warrenty but the sound quality is so much better and way more worth it then anything skull candy offers. For those that didn't want to read all that the main pointsGREAT SOUND QUALITY FOR PRICECOMFORTABLE OVER THE EARS FOR HOURSHAVE YET TO BLOW THEM OUTBUY BUY BUY BUY OVER SKULLCANDY

WeSC Bongo Headphones

February 24, 2010

From a person who has used both products i highly suggest the WeSC Bongos. They last way longer, easier to ride with, way more durible, and the sound quality is fairly great for the price. The only thing that skullcandy has going for them at all is their return policy. They have a life time warrenty and are free to replace (besides postage stamp) if it is a techniqual issue. 50% off it you broke them. That really beats anything for me because i listen to music for a least 5 hrs a day through headphones and i blow out speakers everyother day it feels like. BUT unless you really want your warrent, like calling them up and giving them detailed instructions (cause they don't respond to emails anymore unless its your first time using the warrenty) then the warrenty isn't worth it. To much time and effort for me (I have better things to do then listen to skullcandy over the phone instead listening to their headphones)
MY point is, Bongos out of the two unless dealing with warrenty people isnt an issue for you.

MY heads to big!

WeSC Pick Up Headphones

WeSC Pick Up Headphones

Rating for this product: 4 December 10, 2009

So far i am loving these. The only problem is that my head is to big for these to look normal wearing them. So i wear them with the over the head part behind my head. My friend with a smaller head wore these and loved them. They stay on your head no problem while riding. They aren't as loud as my bongos but give a good sound for the price. Very durability so far. Haven't done anything to crazy with them yet. They do have a connector cord which is super nice (for if you get the cord stuck on something it breaks at the attaching point (causing no damage) instead of ripping the wiring out of the jack). Looks like i found my new brand instead of Skullcandy For quality and Durability!

Spy Omega Goggles

December 10, 2009

What doesn't look good on a girl? =)
From a guys perspective... I go by the vibe things give off and to me, These would give off the vibe that your pretty good, can hang out in the park without any problems though your still learning to do some more advance stuff, and that you also hit groomers and powder from time to time. They don't give off the vibe of Hot, Cute, or Snowbunny. There to flashy to be cute, Beanie + Goggle combo really gives off "Ive got skill" Vibe and there is no way this a snowbunny goggle. Im not sure how to girls look HOT in snowboarding gear though... Maybe riding in a bikini?
Any way that is my opinion.
Not sure what your go for vibe wise with your goggles but good luck finding the ones that fit your personality =)

WeSC Maraca Headphones DO NOT USE

December 6, 2009

I havent use these personally but i have used the skullcrushers and hated them. They are nice for the first week or two but they are very easily brake able and that is no bueno. Plus i personally am not into that much base, i don't need my head vibrating all the time. BUT these don't have the skullcandy warrenty and if the DF.com rep is tellin the truth (which im not sure why he would lie), these have the same problem with a side going out (it is usually left with all head phones, im not sure y but it has been true with all my headphones).
SO in the end, IF you want ALOT of base and free headphones for life (except postage), go with the skullcandy skullcrushers
IF you want a clearer sounding headphone (Personal opinion from what i have heard from WeSC other products), but risk of having no warrenty for life, Go with these.

I am sorry but it really is one or the other =). I ride with dragons dx goggles ionized and they arent as mirrored as i hoped. If your standing around in the park or taking a run no one will know they arent fully mirrored but if your standing in the lift line and someone wants to check themselves out in your goggles they will be able to see themselves but they will also be able to your eyes if they look for them.
And no they arent good for night riding unless you are getting the powder/pink ionized ones.

Skullcandy Icon Soft Headphones

December 3, 2009

personally i think Erik Wilson is a rare case. (Sorry) I also recommened staying away from Skullcandy if you want a pair of headphones that will last. I own skullcandys for the sole fact of the lifetime warrenty. If they didn't have that I would have switched brands ages ago. I replace my skullcandies about once every 2-3 months for free and have never had a problem getting a hold of the warrenty people. But if you are looking for sometihng that lasts, go with a more mainstream brand like Sony (never ever phillips! they suck). They may not be as stylish but they are much better

Burton Cartel Snowboard Binding - 09/10

November 23, 2009

I have only heard good thing from both bindings. I personally Own union forces and love them! I have never actually owned Cartels but i have owned the triads which are pretty simliar. I hated them. The toe strap keeping unscrewing, the adjuster for the high back ripped through the plastic and is unusable anymore and the strap would some times get stuck in the clicker. I don't know if its the same for the cartels but if it is go with the forces.
I havent had any problems with the forces yet. They feel super light and have loved them for the little riding i have done so far.
let see....I would get a large in the cartels if you have a wide board or a medium if you just have a regular freestyle board.
A L/XL for the unions bindings

"A MODERN STYLED CYLINDRICAL GOGGLE THAT FITS MOST FACES." SPYOPTIC.com
That means that the peripheral on these is average with other goggles because cylindrical is kind of the industry standard for all goggles (least in the past).
If your looking for more peripheral, like you can't even see the goggles you are wearing, I would suggest looking for Spherical Lenses, ELECTRIC EG1s or EG2, and from spy APOLLO, SOLDIER, BIAS. I acctually haven't riden with Spy's since I was a little grom, SO hopefully i gearhead will stop by here and give you more help.

These will definitly fit a big head (I should know, I have a giant head).
And it should fit over (if you in fact do ride with) your helmet, unless it is so big it doubles your head, in that case i suggest buying a new helmet.
But YES, these will fit a bigger head
PS, these have the elastic plastic (i dunno what it is called)on the strap which makes it a great for keep them in place once you get them on your head but a GIANT PAIN to adjust the size on the go. So make sure you adjust it inside when you have time, cause it is a pain when your hands are freezing outside and your trying to adjust it from beanie size to helmet size but you just can't seem to do it CAUSE ITS JUST SO DAMN COLD.

Notta one. Sorry amigo. These don't even come close to fire lenses. As sick as electric is, I would suggest a different brand if your are looking for goggles with replacment lenses that come in fire. Oakley obviously, but VZ does a good job too. If you are looking for that mirror effect, none of these do that either. BUT if you have to get one that looks like it, Yello/silver chrome, imho, is the the closest in a race it doesn't even qualify for. Seriously

November 18, 2009

This goggle was made for you! I have a giant head/face and know for a fact... these don't fit me ='( Why do all the cool frames have to be for smaller faces? I suggest these for smaller faces and for looking steeze on the mountain. If you are looking for a frame with more prefireal (cant spell sorry) But will have a bigger frame, anything with a "s" at the end of it means its spherical.
In the end those these are great for you! Hope you rock them well!
(As always recommended though, goggles are expensive, important, equipment. I would go check out a local snowboard shop and try on different type and different brands to make sure you absolutly love what you are buying. "If you buy gear that gets you stoked, you'll be stoked to ride')

Bronze chrome or just bronze?
Either way those would be perfect for midday riding. Bronze lenses do suck around closing time cause the flight light is pretty bad (just a heads up) BUT What is one hour of discomfort compared to all day of looking good?
Bronze will let in more light then Bronze chrome but wont be reflective.
(I am sorry if i didnt make it clear. You can also go to (I couldnt find it on the Spyoptical.com site) )http://www.electricvisual.com/goggle-technical-information/

yes it will. welll... Maybe it wont for you since there will be some bunching at the top. Im Not sure how big this beanie is on a small head, i personally have a gigantic head and it fit under my gigantic helmet... but since my head is so big, the beanie doesnt bunch at the top much, for a smaller head... I would try it (you can always return it if u buy it off dogfunk) But my gues.. Yes but it will either have bunching of the at the top between the helmet and the beanie, or the beanie will almost be pulled down over your eyes

I would personally look for a smaller beanie.

I suggest getting a different stomp pad if your looking for one that will make sure you look good doing your one footed 50-50 or madona during the landing instead of slipping off the board.

Domo Arigoto Mr. Roboto

OneBallJay Roboto Stomp Pad

Rating for this product: 4 November 9, 2009

This thing looks awesome! And that is what i bought it for so it works for me. for those of you actually looking for a stomp pad that will hold on to your board while trying to push through flat areas this may not be for you. it does get packed with snow easily and quits holding on to your foot. But it looks awesome so thats ok.(and yes, i tryed to squeeze those dogfunk stickers in the picture... lol thought they would like that =)

Great for all mountain

Union Force Snowboard Binding

Rating for this product: 5 November 9, 2009

I obviously have these in green, L/XL. They have been great for all mountain on my Never Summer legacy so far. And by all mountain I mean jibs and groomers since it is still so early in the season. I will write another review when i have riden them more but for now ill tell you what little info i can.
The straps are nice because they bend forwards and backwards, even in the cold, and don't look like they'll come close to breaking.
Light weight enough not even notice them compared to the weight of my legacy
They are stiffer so does kinda limit my buttery-ness on rails but i didnt but them for park so thats alright with me
Love the green on the blue and black, lots of compliments from friends
If you are looking for a all mountain binding, this is the one for you

686 Lush Earflap Beanie - Women's

November 9, 2009

Im not COMPLETLY sure BUT, i have never seen a 686 beanie with a fleece lining in all my years of buying beanies. (that and it doesnt have Fleece written in the materials). I am 98% confident with that.
May I suggest looking at Dakine beanies for fleece lining (In those pictures you can see the fleece and it says it under materials)

Nope. They are Fire and are not good for night vision at all.
If you want more information about lenses for different situations, any major goggle seller will have their lense colors and what they are recommended for somewhere pretty easy to find on there website.

Burton Custom Snowboard Binding - 09/10

November 5, 2009

That would look sick for sure!
And yes bindings are super important! crappy bindings make for a crappy day. If you are riding 40 or less days though these would be perfect for you in my opinion. But if you ride hard and often, it is worth the extra bucks to upgrade and get a binding that will last and take the punishment you dish out. I own burton triads and even though they are more expensive, they sucked.. tow strap fell off, screws (including base plates) came loose all the time and the metal that kept my binding at a lean tore through the plastic and is no permentally set on the no lean.
My point is that bindings are important and expensive isnt always better either.
In the end, If you are more of a casual rider these would be perfect for you. If you are a park junky, upgrade
(Read the other comment too. It is spot on)

Union Force Snowboard Binding

November 5, 2009

They're pretty light and compete with the ride bindings forsure. (this is for all mountain riding of coarse, these bindings are a little stiffer) I would go with these over ride bindings any day but i do have some bias in this... i own unions and have only riden my friends Ride bindings before... never owned a pair personally.

Union Force Snowboard Binding

November 5, 2009

I have no idea if your asking for dudes or dudettes but... i am a dude i wear a size 12 and have the L/XL size and that is perfect for me. If your a dude i would go with the L/XL n o question. If your a girl I would try the M/L first cause you can costumize it like all bindings to have the toe strap longer. (But obviously i recommend going to your local snowboard shop first (bring a boot and ask for a M/L and a L/XL in the color you want and see which fits better)
This bindings has been doing well for the few days i have riden on it and strongly recommend it too.
Hope that helps
Kyle

OMG I LOVE IT!

Nomis One-Piece Snow Suit - Men's

Nomis One-Piece Snow Suit - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 October 27, 2009

I bought this in a different style when they had it in (last pair XXL) When it got here i knew it was my new favorite onezi! But I am about 6'4 and thought that this would just look baggy one me... was way off. My ass looks HUGE and my stomache makes it look like i weigh 300 lbs (actually weigh 180). But man i love the pattern on this thing! Good number of pockets(Same pocket set up as theNomis Stacks Component Jacket) . And is fairly warm considering that it is just a shell. (only riden with once in 50*F with 1st layer shorts and longsleeve shirt and felt fine).
For 50% off? hellz ya! totally worth it. Just dont buy it a size up thinking it will look baggy... Cause you'll just end up with a huge ass! (I like to sing "I like big butts" when i wear it, makes most people laugh)

Green Machine!

Nomis OG Dot Full-Zip Hooded Sweatshirt - Men's

Nomis OG Dot Full-Zip Hooded Sweatshirt - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 October 27, 2009

MY favorite color is green and my favorite Streetwear brand is Nomis, so obviously I had to have this. OMG! could I love this hoodie any more? It has great length (bought it XLT (Extra Large Tall) (6'4)) for kids that like to sag there pants but not have their ass hanging out. The sleeves have the cuts in them for your thumbs. I don't usually wear the hood but when i do this hood acctuly stays on. And who doesn't love the pattern for this? The only tiny thing I dont like is that my cell phone seems to fall out of the pockets from time to time.BUT THE WORST PART!?!? I get to many compliments from friends and stangers that love the hoodie! LOL I LOVE IT!!It is well worth the price if your into style(would show picture but they already got all the details up there, nothing new I can show you)

Not Aggresive Listener Friendly

Skullcandy Holua Bud Headphones

Rating for this product: 3 October 27, 2009

I was looking for a quality earphone that could stand up to the ware and tear i put on my earphones. So I thought "$100? how can they suck?" I obviously found out. I was running with these one day enjoying the great sound quality these put out, i won't argue with that, when my finger caught the cord and pulled it out the jack. The left earbud went out. Loving the Life time warrenty I did replace them for free. (lasted 1 month) Got my second pair, 2 weeks in stepped on the cord and the sound is in and out on the left bud... I also dropped them once and the right bud broke and is now held together with tape. So if life happens to you to and you acctuly do more then just keep your earbuds in a glass jar and only take them out when your sitting still... these aren't for you.
Pros:
Best sounding earbuds I have ever owned
Life time Warranty (Riding the warranty sponsorship!)
The clicker thing (Man I love not having to reach into my pocket everytime trying to change the song)
Rubbers(3 shapes 2 different style (rubber and memory foam. one is bound to fit you)
Cons:
Not very deriable for an active life-style
Cord doesn't dangle very well and is a little short for a 6'4 kid that sags his pants
Price ($100 is alot and the sound quality probably isn't worth it if you arent listening to music for atleast 4-6 hours of your day where you can actualy notice the difference)
Another so-so product from Skullycandy >.>

Never Summer Legacy-R Snowboard

October 26, 2009

Is this the board for me?

I wear an 11-12 size shoe depending on the brand. Would I want a wide board like the legacy? Are there also other boards I should be looking at that are all mountain boards that are wide? I just moved to Steamboat so i would like A board that can handle beginner back country and intermidate park riding (can handle switch 540's and reg 720's off mid-sized jumps, butters on boxes and boardslides and presses on hand rails)Is this the board for me?

Oh and this isn't really a question about the snowboard but... if this is the board for me, what kind of bindings would be good to go along with it?

Thanks for the help

VonZipper Feenom Goggle w/ Bonus Lens

October 26, 2009

Thanks for the Unisex info on the love in. i was also wondering..

I decided that I love these goggles enough to buy them for how awesome they look. So I have one more question before I put $140 down on a new pair of goggles...I am buying these for couldy days and was wondering how well the smokey pink did compared to H.I. persimmon or blue iridium? I've never worn any of these colors before and I know that lense color is almost all opinionated but! in general which lenses work best for partly-cloudy/cloudy/snowy days? (It doesn't have to be those colors)
Thanks,
Kyle

Oh, and I know I am not supposed to care about what other people think about me (least when your not trying to get a job)and I should just tell me friends to get over it... But honestly, who doesn't like being complimented on how good they look? "When you look good, you ride good." love that sayin.. and its tru, better you look, better self esteem, better confidence, better riding.

VonZipper Feenom Goggle w/ Bonus Lens

October 23, 2009

I was just wondering...
Are the love in frames with the pink smoke a girls frame? Cause personally I think they look awesome but I really don't want to have that awkward conversation on the hill with random girls that say, (awsuming that the are tourists) "LIKE! OMG we have the same goggles! Aren't they just the cutests?" Then I would be thinking... "Man this is super awkward... why does this tourist/poser/newbie have the same frames as me?" Don't get me wrong, I don't h8 random tourist girls, I just don't want my friends baggin on me all day (yes they r that mean and shallow)
Oh and are the feenoms in general a super popular goggle? I see that everyone loves them but i don't want to buy a pair then find out everyone has the same thing. I wanted to buy VZ cause it seemed a little more low-key then Oakley, Smith, Dragon and so on. (obviously I'm super-ficial... I know the specs rock & i should care about that..but I can't help wanting to stand out too)
Thanks for the help
