Problems...

Stoic Bombshell Bib - Men's

Rating for this product: 2 January 24, 2012

Just going to get straight to the point of the problems I've had.

1) Zipper tab on a pocket came came off; apparently it's attached to the zipper cord only by friction and maybe some glue[?] and doesn't really have anything that anchors it.

2) And this is the biggest problem: the seams will fall apart - it'll just unglue itself and it'll look like your pants magically came apart - if you're near a heat source... like a firepit that some ski areas tend to have. These pants should be labeled "glued" and not "welded" since that's a much more accurate and literal depiction of what exactly is holding these pants together.

Columbia Baselayer Heavyweight Tight with Fly - Men's

Columbia Baselayer Heavyweight Tight with Fly - Men's

Rating for this product: 1 November 29, 2011

So I bought into the whole omniheat marketing which it turns out to be nothing more than marketing: just wearing it at home w/o heat, I feel no warmer than my other baselayers and actually have felt a little colder. Maybe you need to generate a lot of heat to make it the reflecting dots work (and if so, I'd never be warm!)? In any case, I'm also skeptical of the longevity of the omniheat dots as they seem to be stuck on; I can only imagine how
many wash cycles and uses it can take before they start to peel off. The sizing is very off as well, it seems like they were made for short fat people. At 6'2" ~36" inseam, all my pants and bottoms are Larges and they all have the length to go with it. Not so for this layer: they're very short, like a size Small if I had to compare it to any other manufacturer. If I these were the size of my jeans they would look like ones I wore when I was 12 or 14 or whenever.

Bottom line: Omniheat doesn't seem to work outside of marketing, longevity is a concern, sizing is completely off.

Stoic Breathe Composite - Men's

Stoic Breathe Composite - Men's

Rating for this product: 2 November 21, 2011

Have only worn this inside but was uncomfortable enough to not recommend. The shirt itself feels very warm - just putting it on felt immediately like an oven - but the seams, oh the seams. Sure they make the shirt look "cool" and "Stoic-y" but because they're, how do I put it, not flush with the shirt, the seams make the shirt absolutely uncomfortable. The feeling is as if something foreign is inside the sleeves constantly rubbing distractingly against me.

And for sizing, I'm 6'2", usually a medium (skinny) and got a medium but the sleeves are long even for me (and I have long arms).

Does this glove have a liner? Description says yes but nothing on Swany's site indicates so.
