This is a great little cookset. I find the size to be just about perfect for two people and my MSR Windpro fits inside nicely. The heat exchange seems to be pretty effective. It will boil water fast and does a good job of distributing heat from the stove across the pot to keep it from getting hotspots. About the only thing I don't like about it is the fact that it's pretty heavy.

Stoic Luft Hoody Synthetic Insulated Sweater - Men's

Stoic Luft Hoody Synthetic Insulated Sweater - Men's

This is an all-around great jacket. I love the fit and the color, it's also warm and seems like it will whit stand the test of time but we'll see about that. However, I do have a couple of complaints. The helmet is huge (yes, even for a helmet compatible hood) and there is nowhere to tuck away the cord you can pull to adjust the size. Also, the quality control on the sewing isn't that great. The seams are not the cleanest. However, for what I paid I think its a great jacket!

Oakley was sloppy with the glue on these.

Oakley A-Frame Goggle

Oakley A-Frame Goggle

Rating for this product: 2 December 29, 2010

I picked up a pair of A frame goggles with persimmon lens at the beginning of last season. Up until today, they were the best goggles I've ever used. Awesome clarity, never fogged up no matter how wet they got, solidly built and the lens held up to plenty of abuse but didn't show it.
Today however was a different story. It was a warmer day on the hill and I was overdressed for it. The first few runs down I really started heating up and the foam started to absorb sweat causing them to fog like crazy. After a couple runs they were useless and I ended up wearing them up on my forehead over my beanie the rest of the day.
When I got home I noticed a small smudge to the right of the nose on the inside of the goggle. I took out my lens cleaner and gently tried to get the stuff of. I looked at it again through the light and the small smudge had become a huge one. I popped the lenses out in attempt to get the smudge out but it just wasn't coming out.
I tried windex, goggle defogger, glasses cleaner, camera cleaner, soapy water, and as as a last resort denatured alcohol and nail polish remover. None of these work and only smeared the stuff around even more.
Upon closer inspection I realized that the once little smudge was actually a little blob of the glue that Oakley uses to glue the piece of foam in between the dual lenses. My suspicions were confirmed when I was able to scrape a little bit of it off with my nail and realized how sticky that crap was.
My lens is shot and I'm now trying to decide if I want to risk buying a replacement lens or go with another company. If you see a small smudge towards the edge of the lens leave it alone. I learned the hard way and now my lens is useless.

Salomon Dialogue Select Snowboard Boot - Men's

December 27, 2009

Probably bias because it's what I use but I find them to work really well with Union's. I have a pair of large Union Datas on my board that I use with my 10.5 Dialogues

Best boot I've ever ridden!

Salomon Dialogue Select Snowboard Boot - Men's

Salomon Dialogue Select Snowboard Boot - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 December 27, 2009

These are by far the best boots I have ever used. I started out 6 seasons ago with cheapo Lamar boots that were okay for learning but didn't offer much beyond that. After a couple seasons I moved to a pair of K2 Raiders which I couldn't stand due to the heel lift. After that I went with a pair of 32 Lashed boots which were decent but they just didn't feel all that responsive to me. Finally I found the Dialogue. This boot just fit my foot perfectly, It's the only boot I've been able to rock all day without taking them off to give my aching foot a rest. I've never had a problem with heel lift or my foot moving around in the boot. At first I was a little worried that it would be a bit to soft for all mountain riding but despite the softer flex, once laced up properly you can ride anything with these. On that note I'm very satisfied with the speed lacing system. So far it's been great, quick, and glitch free. My current setup is a GNU Riders Choice, Union Data bindings, and these boots. I couldn't be happier with the combination.
