Thanks, guys. Sounds like the Stash is more durable and sports pockets, while the Vaporshell is more breathable. I see the hood cinchers are different as well. Probably less annoying than the foam ones on the Vaporshell.

Holy new Stoic shell.

I just bought the Vaporshell a couple weeks ago. Can someone at BC explain the difference between the two (beyond the addition of side pockets)? Thanks!

Or anyone else knowledgeable enough to provide some insight... :)

I got the jacket, and the fit is fantastic. I haven't used it in the rain yet, so I can't speak to the waterproofness, but it is extremely breathable.

That said, I'm puzzled by the lack of pockets. Was the rationale in eliminating the pockets merely to shave a couple ounces, or is there some other reason I'm missing?
