Perfect for any level climber!

Metolius Rock Rings CNC 3D

Metolius Rock Rings CNC 3D

Rating for this product: 5 October 26, 2011

I just started climbing seriously last year and am by no means an athlete. I decided it was time to start taking climbing a little more seriously (I wanted to be better than my friends). I mounted them on the ceiling joists in my room and have been using them for about two weeks and they are incredible! In two weeks I went from barely being able to hang on the four finger pocket to hitting a max of 12 pullups! Like with anything else this tool is only as strong as your dedication, but if you've got the drive, this will deliver the results you want!

Only bad thing as a little side note, the bottom hold is advertised as a 3 finger pocket but I have average size hands and can only fit two fingers in them.

Line Prophet 100 Ski

Line Prophet 100 Ski

Rating for this product: 5 March 8, 2010

I recently went on vacation to squaw valley and demoed these skis for three days because my skis are crap. I was on the 165's and for me (im 6 foot and 170 pounds) they were a little too short. The terrain at squaw is really steep and was pretty icy when i was there so the short skis were nice for jump turns. I hiked up granite cheif (the tallest mtn there) and took some awesome powder runs in the and they floated suprisingly well. I took them in the park and pipe and they dont really compare to park only skis but were still pretty awesome. The metal core was the coolest thing i have ever skied with. There was sooooo much pop in the skis that i could get air off the tiniest bumps and moguls. In the crud and grommed they made the sickest turns and i they sprayed my buddy alot too!

Overall the best skis ive ever skied on and now i just need around $600 so i can buy myself some :)

The North Face Obsidian Triclimate Jacket - Men's

The North Face Obsidian Triclimate Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 February 24, 2010

The only reason this jacket didnt get five stars is because the torso is very long compared to the length of the sleves which gives you the very stereotypical jerk, baggy clothed park skier. Other than that this jacket is full of little perks that you really notice. My personal favorite is the goggle cleaner in the left arm sleve pocket. Ive skied this on vacation in Squaw Valley as well as all over in Alaska. It has proven to be plenty waterproof and warm with the removable liner. Oh and another huuuuge advantage is the liner. It makes a great jacket all in its self although it seems a little fragile, it has held up through camp, hikes and many washing cycles.

This is a great jacket and i highly recomend it

Backcountry.com Rime Pullover Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 September 28, 2009

Just got back from a hiking trip in Denali National Park with winds up to 30 mph and some snow! The jacket was extremely water resistant and i was suprised to find that it was also 98% windproof as well. The blue looks a little fruity but if ur comfortable in your masculinity its waaay better than the orange. Definitly an amazing addition to my outdoors wardrobe

Gregory Baltoro 70 Backpack - 4149-4638cu in

Rating for this product: 5 September 6, 2009

just got back from a one night over 8000 vertical feet up and down and this pack performed amazing. It did a great job ventilating on my back and i really enjoyed the flexing hipbelt due to the difficult terrain. Plenty of extra room, stayed dry in a little rain and felt incredibly comfortable. the only complaint that i have is that the hibbelt pockets arent very big but thats minor to all the positives of this pack. Definitly worth the money

In all honesty you can only learn so much from reading and looking at packs online. The best thing for you to do is to go to a good outdoor store (i got my baltoro at REI) and try on both of them, load them up with some weight walk around, go up and down the stairs and see which one feels best to you

Sorel Caribou Boot - Men's

Sorel Caribou Boot - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 August 28, 2009

Ive had these boots for almost three years now and it doesnt get any better than these. They are sized large so i have to wear really thick socks if im going to do some hiking or walking in them. I live in alaska so warmth is just about the only thing i look for. Survived -20 plus no problem. If you plan on doing a whole lot of walking or hiking in them i would sugest the sorel conquest because these have very little ancle support. For casual eveyday wear, and for playing with the kids in the yard it doesnt get any better than these

K2 Silencer Alpine Ski

K2 Silencer Alpine Ski

Rating for this product: 1 August 27, 2009

Not enough flex to handle park or pipe well, not wide enough to handle powder and super cheap material. After just one year of riding the whole top plastic sheet was almost all the way off. you can get a much better ski for the same price if not cheaper
