I usually wear a CamelBack loaded with water, tubes, and a tire or two. How durable is the back panel on the Phantom? The back panel also looks like it would not be as water resistant as the rest of the jacket. Is it as water resistant or less?

Bought these based on the Gore web page description - long rides. I've worn them on a 65, 70, and 100 miles rides and they are the best cycling apparel I own. I originally bought based on the Gore sizing chart but returned them for the next smaller size. They do tend to ride up your crack while standing or walking but they feel great sitting the saddle. Well worth the extra money compared to standard shorts or my $100 bibs.
