Salomon Czar Ski
November 26, 2011
I got a pair of marker jesters on my czar's i bought last year. STH also good recommendation....just remember the binds gotta fit the fat underfoot. Most stock brakes are around 70 or 80 mm and these skis are 111mm underfoot!

The big question is will this be the only ski he uses...I would get these skis(elizabeths) if its the only ski he will be using since the underfoot is 110mm...however, if he will be using these new skis as powder skis get the sir francis bacons because they are more specialized for powder. Either way it should be a great ski...i have friends with both and love them. Also for bindings I would recommend either the marker griffons or jesters.

Rossignol Phantom SC97 Ski
November 4, 2009
In my opinion it they will be less clumsy since they are shorter. The only thing that the width really changes is how long it takes to change from one edge to another...but its not a huge difference. But they will ski way differently from your race skis. As for great in all conditions....(is there such a ski, cause i want it then). In most conditions this ski should do well. But it should do great on groomers and moguls should be easier cause the ski is shorter. And it should do pretty well in powder. It won't have the float of a 120mm under foot but it will still be a lot better than narrow race skis in powder.

Have you considered trying to find a local shop with the helmet so that you can try it on? At the very least try and locate an other giro helmet and try those on and see what size fits. Generally the same manufacture has all of their helmets fit the same.
If you cannot do that...it seems like the sizing chat would suggest you get a medium(55-59cm).

Burton Custom Smalls Snowboard - Kids' - 09/10
November 3, 2009
Given that your nephew is 75pounds I probably recommend the 125cm long board. That puts him right in the middle of the recommend weight range(50-95pounds)--I personally like it when I am towards the high weight range. This also still gives him about 20 to grow. If you think he will be growing a lot and won't be buying a new board when he gets to 95ish pounds. Maybe go with the 131(65-120pounds). He will still be within the weight range. Be ideally go with the 125cm. Hope that helps :)

Burton Joystick Snowboard - 09/10
November 2, 2009
the most likely reason they suggest that is that the board rides as if it were a 1-2cm longer than it actually is. This could be because the board is rockered. Or it could be that they made the board a little wider which increase the surface area of the board and thus if the board is bought short the surface area is about the same. Hope that helps.
