is wind resistant, i would say. very light duty. i wear 2 layers under and can feel wind thru on high wind days

like the style but found it kind of light-duty. zipper is too fine and prone to separation if not zipped 'just right'. must have had 'womens' fashion' in mind when designing.no underarm vents and pocket vents are well, silly- you have to keep pockets unzipped to vent. haven't tested in the rain yet but i'm sure it will stand up. Columbia jackets have always served me well. this one is more about fashion than utility.

just got my 3rd pair. why? because i am hooked. bought a smaller size this time and they fit just fine. found the ones in my size range had a wee bit of extra fabric that allowed more movement at heel. now i know that for my foot size, 7.5, the womens' size small is best.
these keep my feet warm even when wet.
favourite kind of socks and i've tried many hi-end ones.
