Isis C/D Sports Bra - Women's

Isis C/D Sports Bra - Women's

Rating for this product: 3 June 5, 2011

I would have given this bra 5 stars, but the first time I tried it on I literally got stuck in it. I had to call my boyfriend into the bathroom to help pry it off. And this was in the larger size that I ordered, which was actually too big. I can only imagine what a nightmare it would be to take off it was sweaty.

Otherwise, the fabric is super comfy like with all Isis bras, and it was supportive enough for running (I'm an average C), though just barely...if it was any less supportive it wouldn't be enough. I really wished it worked for me, but I don't want to injure myself taking my bra off.

Comfy bra

Isis Active Bra - Women's

Isis Active Bra - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 May 31, 2011

After a false start with Isis bras (I tried the Henna Day Bra, but the material that sits between the hooks and skin was too thin and the hooks scratched me through it), I'm really happy with this bra. I am very asymmetrical - a C cup on one side and an A on the other, so finding bras that fit can be major pain in the butt. But the stretchy fabric provides a great fit on both sides. I would say this bra is just barely supportive enough for C cups, and I would stick with a traditional bra for dressier occasions. However, it'll be great for casual wear, yoga, and hiking. I'm going to start replacing all of my Patagonia Active Mesh bras with these - the ISIS Active bras provide the same support but with a lot less fabric, and they're so much cuter.

My one complaint is that the chest band rolls up a bit on me. It's a little irritating, but otherwise it doesn't seem to affect the function of the bra at all.

Most comfortable pack I've ever tried

Osprey Packs Talon 22 Backpack - 1220-1343cu in

I just got one of these packs to replace an old Camelbak that, while lightweight, cut some corners to get there. The day after I got this I took it out for a 6 mile hike in the rain. Let's just say, it is NOT waterproof (as in soggy-glob-of-TP-that-I-forgot-to-put-in-a-ziplock-bag sort of not rainproof), and living here in the rainy Pacific NW I promptly got online and ordered the corresponding Osprey rain cover that night.

Other than that, it is perfect. I did a loop that gains 1400 feet of elevation in the last mile up, and ran 3.5 miles down on a more moderate trail, and barely noticed my pack. During the run down the waist belt was riding up a tiny bit, but I think that lengthening the torso (what a wonderful feature!) will fix that. I had my doubts when I saw how floppy and unsupported-looking this bag is while empty, but it just disappears when you put it on. I can't wait to take it out on longer hikes this summer.
