Castelli Podium Collection Madeleine Bib Short - Women's

I normally wear a M in most shorts (even other Castelli shorts) but I had to size up to a L to get these to fit right. Besides for sizing, though, they are really awesome bibs. I have worn them on long road and mountain rides, and they are very comfortable and there's no weird chafing. They will definitely attract attention, though, so be prepared for people to stare at your butt!

Awesome for on- and off-road riding

Castelli Vizio Due Women's Shorts

I've had these shorts for a few months, and they have quickly become my favorite pair. I put them to the test in a muddy 12-hour mountain bike race last weekend, and even after 40 miles on the trail there was no chafing and they were super comfortable. I prefer a tighter fit, so I bought my regular size and while they are snug, they are definitely not too tight. I have the Castelli Madeleine Bib Shorts and had to size up for those, but the Vizio Due seem to fit true to size.

Not what I expected

Maloja Scarlet Short - Women's

I was so excited about my bright red Maloja shorts, but I was really disappointed once I actually tried them on. I would give them 5/5 for style, but 1/5 for performance. My biggest problem with them was the waistband, which was crazy high. It hit about 2+ inches above my bellybutton, which was really uncomfortable and looked really odd. I don't like super low rise bike shorts, but I also don't need chest support from my shorts! And, the chamois was really bulky and caused some painful chafing. I ordered a medium, and it's possible they were a little too big, but I always am a M in shorts (Pearl Izumi, Louis Garneau, Champ-sys) and I'm 5'9" and 145 lbs, so they really should have fit. I will be returning these and looking for a different pair of red shorts.
