I somewhat agree. I say you get the 169 and mount them a little forward of traditional. I always ride the Obsethed -2 from core center which I believe is about +5 anyway. The way the ski is designed puts the sidecut nearer to the center of the ski which is where you want to be to have as much control as possible. If the place you demoed these skis mounted them with schizo's then you should move them to +5 and try them again.

I'm not sure what you're talking about Andrew. I grew up skiing bumps and must say I still shred bumps on my boards all the time. You may not want to take them to the Olympics but they still shred the bumps.

K2 Kung Fujas Ski

If you are only doing 5 days of side country a year, weight should not be an issue. I personally have not weighted them but I'd say they are about mid-weight for a ski. What it may lack in weight, it makes up for in durability and performance. I've used them for sidecountry and think they are great! Go to http://www.k2skis.com/skis/twin-tips/kung-fujas#pr-header-ku

K2 Kung Fujas Ski

I guess it depends on if you want to a ski for quick pow tree skiing or for when the snow is a bit variable or packed. 179's are certainly the way to go for you considering your height and weight. I'm obviously going to recommend The Kung Fujas. It is a perfect all around ski that is quick and agile in variable snow and on groomers. I grew up a bump skier so I still dig having a ski that I can maneuver quickly but can wash em out when I get in a tricky situation. Throw some pow at them and they can handle that too. These boards do not disappoint. To be honest, the Prophet is almost identical to my ski, it's just a bit narrower and thus can't handle the deeper snow as well and I can't tell you anything about the Shoguns. Have fun on whatever you decide.
