MSR SuperFly Stove

MSR SuperFly Stove

Rating for this product: 5 June 12, 2009

I have never had a problem with this stove even in winter conditions. The auto start feature makes it a piece of cake to light and it doesn't seem to use very much fuel. Two thumbs up!

Easily develops leaks

Pacific Outdoor Equipment Peak Oyl Lite Sleeping Pad

Pacific Outdoor Equipment Peak Oyl Lite Sleeping Pad

Rating for this product: 1 June 11, 2009

It was a bad pad even because it was thin, but then it developed multiple leaks. I did not have the money to replace it during my fall semester of school and kept attempting to repair it. Get a different pad. It is a good concept and rolls down to a small size, but there are too many negatives.

Therm-a-Rest NeoAir Sleeping Pad

Do not roll it up. My pad developed a leak from leaving it rolled up during storage when I first started backpacking.

Lafuma Manang 65 + 20 Pack - 3970cu in

Rating for this product: 1 June 11, 2009

My brother owns this pack and I borrowed it for a two-day nineteen mile trip on the Appalachian trail. It was not comfortable at all. My gear was minimal and I still found myself needing to adjust it constantly. Not worth the money.

Amazing product

Mountain Hardwear Monkey Man Fleece Zip T - Long-Sleeve - Men's

Mountain Hardwear Monkey Man Fleece Zip T - Long-Sleeve - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 June 10, 2009

This is by far my favorite article of clothing I own. It is worth the cost. I wore this almost everyday during the winter and spring in Montana. It is warm for its light weight. The only drawback is that it can't be tightened at the bottom, but a shell over the top fixes the problem. The thumb holes make gloves much easier to put on without pushing the sleeves up.

Evolv Defy Climbing Shoe- 2009

Rating for this product: 5 June 10, 2009

I have owned these shoes for over a year and they have not worn out after a lot of climbing. I have used them in multiple gyms, on Georgia limestone overhangs, Tennessee sandstone cliffs, and Montana boulders. They are very versatile and I like that the velcro makes them easy to slip on and off. I would recommend these shoes to anyone looking for a solid, go-to shoe.

Comfortable harness

Mammut Mirage Harness

Mammut Mirage Harness

Rating for this product: 4 June 10, 2009

Harness has enough padding to be comfortable during long climbs. The side loops are good for holding necessary gear. Only drawback is if the wearer sweats during a climb the harness does not dry for quite a while.
