Just bought myself a pair of Newport H2's and my girlfriend a pair of Venice H2's. After a lake trip with rocky bottoms and many slippery logs to walk on, I must say these sandals are PRIMO for getting wet. The footbed is incredibly comfortable, in fact, the most comfortable piece of footware I have ever worn. They didn't slip on the logs unless the logs were SUPER grimey and gave me confidence to walk through rocky, silty water that would otherwise gross me out. The footbed dried quickly too and wasn't soggy for more than a few minutes of wearing in pretty warm weather.
Rocks will get in the footbed, but honestly its so soft that unless substantial rocks/sand got in it didn't bother me. The Venice's are better for getting that stuff out without shoe removal.
They float too, but are not very good for swimming in. You'll lose most of your leg power. Then again I didn't expect that out of them but I thought I'd try.
Overall, amazing sandal. Lets see how long they last! Go buy yourself some.
