Nice shoe- all Sidis seem to be. It is definitely harder to get a tight enough fit without the buckle, and these seem a bit more roomy than my Genius 5s up top.
Also, be aware that if you are going to use Crank Bros pedals, the high tread is going to make it a bit more effortful. I purchased the Sidi plate and had to use that AND the shims that came with my Candy 2 pedals in order to be able to clip in.

Solid single-speed

Kona Major One Cyclocross Bike

This is a great single-speed, especially at BT price. The frame is the same scandium that Kona used for their top of the line Major Jake. It feels responsive and light, no real complaints so far. Because it is a cyclocross bike the handlebars are a bit wider (for stability). If you want to race single speed you may want to swap out the wheels (sturdy but bricks), and the seat isn't the best (but what stock seat is?). The 'fixed' cog is not included, unlike some other Kona SSs.
Kona's single speeds are put together much better than others I have riden, particularly commuters, I definitely recommend.
