i used this top for 6 days of patagonia race in feb 2012( 500 + km) ,kayaking in 5 degrees C dragging kayaks across the land 6 hrs ,paddled 80+ kms , followed by 96 km trek took us 41 hrs ,(yeah i know we a bit slow) woke up at 6am in 0 degrees C and shoes were frozen , but the ibex pulled me from the sleep bag and up and go on the trek to pc 7 and 8 for the 2nd bike leg of 125 km,if u want any more proof ,just go to chile patagonia bring the ibex ,wear it 24 hrs a day and it works ,it keeps u from freezing ,with another base layer , a shell u can handle 50 knot winds ,rain ,snow and more ,just buy it ,u be glad u did. taz team captain team 4 continents( intl team japan ,usa ,australia)

i had my last axe stolen and trying to save some money i had to buy low cost axe ,the raven with grip is good for me ,i climb to 4350 metres in tien shan mountains kazak on fairly steep snow and rocky scree ridges,it has good weight balance,grips stays in my hand ,not down the hill and pick cuts steps very well,for self arrest i used it once and stopped me dead solid before going over the cliff,if u looking for a more technical axe go for the more expensive models but if u need general axe for hikking and a little light alpine climbing ,this works i am damn happy with this axe.

i just bought this pack in US last mth and ive now returned to kazakhstan ,used it 3 times in the mountains and after heavy rain it stays dry,carries a large amount of ropes ,harnesses and carabiners and extremly comfortable on the back good adjustments avail,light as hell ,tough,the material seems to be thin but stronger than i 'd expect,for under 100 bucks this is a good buy,for 2 or 3 days climbing if u willing to lash a few things on the outside ,this is the best 1 to 3 day hiking ,climbing .trekking pack i ve seen in many years,i used a lot of cheap packs before but the millet has been designed from the ground up and its certainly one of the best medium sized packs ive come across.i will be using it for biking trips ,climbing expeditions and a little kayaking ,it fits the bill for me ,ease of adjusting the compression straps is great
