These shoes are REALLY comfortable and warm although the heel cup is a bit roomy for me. The perfect footwear for a skier on the go. I hate fussing with wet lace ups every time I want to go in and out of the indoors during the winter. I wear these slip-ons to walk the dog, do errands around town, and then wear them at night working at the ski shop.
Basically, I wear these whenever I'm out of my ski boots during the winter.

Solid feeling shoes.

I just received my Fanatics and was impressed with them right away. They are on the stiff side and built for semi-technical footwork. I wouldn't dream of climbing any hard free pitches in these but for shlepping gear to the base of a wall, standing in aiders all day, and hiking the pig back down, these are the perfect shoes.
For aid routes with hard free climbing sections I would bring a separate pair of free shoes rather than relying on these for double duty.
Comfortable! I think that these will end up being my daily drivers.

Simple and tough!

Black Diamond Touchstone Haul Bag

A perfect sized haul bag for one-bivy walls or as a second bag on grade VI's. It also holds EVERYTHING you would ever need for a day at the crags too! The stand-up-by-itself design makes it easy to use while its on the ground. The shoulder straps carry OK for a haul bag but I wouldn't go far without slipping a foam pad into the back panel to keep your hardware from poking you in the spine.
This bag lacks the dry-bag closures, sealed seams, and internal daisies featured on other bags but it does have a super handy internal pocket/pouch!
