Great gloves that don't last 2 hours

Giro Lusso Cycling Glove

Giro Lusso Cycling Glove

Rating for this product: 2 August 31, 2009

These are nice gloves with very supple leather, stylish looks, etc. Within 2-3 hours my first pair developed a small hole in the stitching/seam where the thumb leather section meets the palm leather section - roughly where the lowest technogel pad is shown in the photo above. (Not that this is a different seam from the other reviewer...) My LBS was accomodating and let me try another pair, just in case I got a lemon. Within 2 hours on my next ride, an even larger hole developed - in the same seam, just lower down on the glove this time. I have used several gloves before these (LG, Castelli) and never had a seam separate like this. While they are very nice looking/feeling gloves, it is a total joke that they do not last a single ride. I will be exchanging these and will try something else. Avoid.

Super low profile sock

Capo Phantom Tactel Socks

Capo Phantom Tactel Socks

Rating for this product: 4 June 23, 2009

Really low profile - if you chose the sock that has the same upper color as your shoe, then I bet people would not even realize you were wearing socks. Quite thin, so if you rely on your sock for comfort/vibration damping (say with a really thin or sub-par insole... cough Sidi) you may feel it in your feet. As a size 9, I am at the low end of the Large size, so it is just a little big, but I would assume the Medium would be too tight.

Nice low profile, just enough to pop a bit above your shoe. Simple but effective

Feedback Sports Flop Stop Handlebar Holder

Feedback Sports Flop Stop Handlebar Holder

Rating for this product: 4 June 23, 2009

It does the job, particularly combined with the Feedback Sports RAKK bikestand. You could probably make something yourself or find creative ways of keeping your handlebars still, but this doesn't look like crap. It is quite adjustable and is not likely to scratch where it touches the seatpost/bars.
