these are going to more like a boxer short then a true boxer fit.

These will be comfortable to wear all day long, but in negative temperatures, you will obviously need some pretty burly pants on top to keep warm.

This is a late reply, but not much clothing will actually protect you from those types of injuries. These will provide a measure of compression that will help ease the recovery of muscles though. As a long-time and frequent soccer player, the only thing I am aware of the avoid injury like that is conditioning, stretching (lots of stretching), and R.I.C.E. when injured.

This material this shirt is made out of is very good at absorbing moisture (i.e sweat) and keeping you dryer then a regular cotton shirt. dryer = warmer.

I would go with a medium. I am 5'10" and 142, and a medium fits me very well.

The fabric has not changed since last year.

The reason the 3L pant is lighter is that while both pants are made of the Performance Shell fabric from Gore-Tex, the 2L pant has a mesh lining in it adding a very slight additional weight. These pants will fit pretty true to size. As far as the feel between the two pants, I cannot tell you because I did not get to go to Sweden for the line showing.

theoretically, yes. However, there may be some anatomical constraints to wearing this for a woman. It is definitely cut to fit Men.

This fleece is high-loft, so it will be a little more cushy then the Oso Hooded Fleece Jacket.

The main difference between the insulation packages on these jackets is not really a material weight issue, but how efficient each product is. The PrimaLoft does not need as much material weight, because it is a more efficient at insulating then Thinsulate. Other properties that makes PrimaLoft better is that it is more water resistant and more compressible, so your jacket can be packed down into a smaller area then a jacket with Thinsulate.

The main reasons for the price difference are the fabric stories on these two jackets. The Leader Jacket uses a two way stretch fabric that has a lower breathability rating then the Bromont Jacket, due in part to the Thinsulate as well. The Bromont Jacket is made of a 360 degree stretchable fabric, that combined with the added breathablity of PrimaLoft creates a lighter product that keeps you warm and dry.

The bottom line on these jackets is your amount of use. If you are going to be using this jacket to ski a lot, I would go with the Bromont because you will notice the stretch and breathability more during these types of aerobic activities. If you are only going to use the jacket for intermittent outdoor activity (i.e. a few ski days a year, and just walking around town) I would save some money and go with the Leader Jacket.

These pants are made out of a ripstop fabric that will keep them going strong outside of a very extreme tumble through a scree field, and lots of broken glass.

the main difference between this pant and the TNF and Marmot pants is the spndex (i.e. stretch) component to it. mostly you are looking at a price difference though.

You can certainly layer a fleece or an insulated piece under this jacket and be quite comfortable even without zip-in compatibility. The pro's of no compatibility are that you are free to choose virtually any layering piece.

You could wear this jacket alone down to about the freezing mark. Any lower then that and you may be rather uncomfortable. This jacket is insulated with 60g of primaloft, but that is not very much when you are talking very low temperatures.

The fit on these is termed "regular" which means that they will not be too baggy, nor too tight. As far as being comfortable in 80 degree weather, as long as you are not in really muggy conditions they would be great.

typically any alterations will void the garments warranty. As far as compromising the integrity, any reputable tailor should be able to make them shorter without losing functionality.

The Fall 2010 model should be arriving in our warehouse in a few weeks. 2011 won't be out until next fall. The retail price will be $948.95.

if you like it baggy I would go L or even possibly XL.

This jacket does not have a fleece lining. Unless you plan on using this as a stand-alone piece, I would take a look at a truer lining piece such as a fleece jacket or a heavyweight base layer.

I would say that the fit is very similar to Arc'terex jackets. Many of the reviewers on the site think that the arms are a bit longer then most other jackets on the market. Overall Norrona makes very high quality products that are built to be worn in tough conditions.

If you are willing to drop some additional money to replace this jacket, I would go with the Arc'terex Alpha LT. They are expensive, but they are also built to last a long time under punishment. the hood is helmet compatible, but cinches down very nicely.

This jacket has a lining to it, so you could wear it alone depending on your tolerance to cold. I would probably suggest wearing at least a tee shirt underneath though.

If you are just planning to wear this jacket on cold weather urban adventures, it will be more then adequate. This jacket is very warm.

You could go either way. The elastic waistband makes it easy to slip on over an existing pair of pants, but they could be worn alone if you know you will not be taking them on or off during your adventure

it is more of a black/grey print. I would not classify this a true black, but it is very dark, and a sick jacket.

If you are looking for a more athletic fit (i.e. not very loose) I would go with a medium in this jacket

Unfortunately, there was a dramatic fabric price increase and this product has not been produced for Fall 2010 season. The Stoic team is looking to replace this product for Fall 2011.

Performance fit is a more snug fit then the Standard fit. It is generally more tapered to the body, and the standard fit has a bit more room to move around in.

I would go with a Large. If it does not fit to your specifications, you can always exchange it for an XL.

These jackets are supposed to ship from Norway on the 9th of August, but the reality is that they will probably not get received into inventory until at least the end of September from past experience.

I think Brandon is right on the money here. I would go with a size small in this jacket, it should fit very nicely on you.

I just make sure to cinch down the rear adjustment on helmet compatible hoods to get a snug fit without a helmet.

I would recommend a large if you plan to use multiple layers under this jacket, however a Medium would probably good if you are just using a light fleece, and like a more Athletic fit.
