Smartwool has it right!

SmartWool PhD Running Ultra Light Mini Sock

I first bought these on sale and didn't expect much for the price. Well, these socks are incredible. The fit is exact and even though I don't really like wool, these socks take punishment and shed odors extremely well. I still have my original pairs from 3 years ago and I wear these everyday! Even to work! I tried other brands and expected the same performance, fit, & comfort. Wasted my money on them. I now have 20 pairs of SW PhD Ultra lights if that tells you how much I believe in them.
PS - the Ultra light is the only way to go. The light is too thick.
