Mountain Hardwear Sub Zero Down Jacket - Men's

Mountain Hardwear Sub Zero Down Jacket - Men's

Fit -
Some people are saying this jacket is short. I think it fits perfectly in the XL (I am 5'11 and 215 with broad shoulders). I bought it to replace an old Sierra Designs down coat which is way too short. The rear hem is cut slightly longer, and and falls about the middle of my butt. The front seems slightly higher, but not too short.

Durability -
It seems like the reinforced areas are well thought out and ought to be durable over time. That's part of the reason I went with the Sub Zero over one of the Marmots - most down jackets are too delicate and you end up ripping the arms and you have to tape or glue them to avoid losing feathers. Which brings me to my next point -

Feather loss -
It seems like most new down garments will lose some feathers initially, but this one maybe seems a bit worse than other jackets and vests I've owned. I'm deducting a point for this, but hopefully it will taper off soon. Maybe they over-fill them when they are manufactured because they expect some loss? I don't know. Anyway, this is a solid jacket overall and a good price.

I've mostly worn these in the winter on moderately cold days. They are warm without being too bulky, and the moisture wicking works very well. I haven't worn these for extended hikes yet, but I have done a lot of snowy walks to work in them and have never gotten a blister or hot spot.

Very comfortable

Pros - Very comfortable and stretchy. Good moisture management. Completely non-binding almost like you're going commando.

Cons - The odor resistance is not as great as advertised. I've worn these about 15-20 times and the fabric is starting to wear noticeably in the seat area. I have to wonder about the long term durability.

Titus Racer X Custom Mountain Bike

I read the disclaimer above, and I am curious what level of assembly is required with this bike? I am a decent amateur mechanic. Also, it seems like most Titus frames are built in the USA, is that also true of this frame?
