I find it a bit heavy to lift for storing, but it can hold a lot of weight. It is so bouyant that I was able to help a friend aboard who had capsized another kayak. The Acadia II tracks well and is fast enough for the kind of boat that it is. I use it on Long Island Sound, which can get some waves and wind. When on the water solo, I have used it for fishing with plenty of room for gear. My old Keowee II may have a more comfortable seat, though the Acadia's seat is good.

I find the Acadia II to be a bit heavy out of the water. However, it does have a high maximum load. The boat tracks very well and is fast enough for a recreational kayak. I use mine on Long Island Sound where the wind and waves can be rough. There is plenty of room. When paddling solo I have fished from this boat. The seat is comfortable, but I do believe that the seat of my Keowee II might be a tad more comfortable that the one on the Acadia. As of yet, I have not used the child's seat.

I enjoy it best when alone. It feels more nimble when I (at 250lbs.) am in the middle. However, it is a good boat with two people. I have not used the child's seat yet.
