I have had this tent for a few years now. I have used it on several backpacking trips and even on a couple long distance bike trips. It has held up well. A black bear tried to push it over from both sides. I guess he smelled something. (I thought I took care of all the smells...) I'm glad he didn't try too hard to push it, but I was still very pleased that the tent and poles didn't break as he was pushing hard enough to make me nervous. Only a couple very small puncture holes from the claws.
Also, the vestibules have lots of space and there is a place to hang an attic in the tent. The amount of mesh seems adequate. I haven't had it in wind storm but I have had it in rain and sleet coming down like no tomorrow and it did fine. It does have guy points on the rainfly for added stability. The tent body tapers at the feet for reduced weight, so if you and your buddy do not have sleeping pads that taper at the feet as well, it may annoy you as they would have to overlap a tad. Not a tent for mountaineering, but great for 3-season backpacking. P.S. a tip on your zipper use: All zippers must be used with care. Grip as closely to the base as possible and be gentle. (This tip comes from my friend who is an expert in zippers. I haven't had any problem with the zippers.)
