I bought two sets of these, one for me and one for a friend. After just a few weeks we have already popped 6 of them. At first I thought it might just be our tires just but after reading some other reviews I think these tubes may just be bad.

They may work fine for you but make sure you carry a spare.

Broken after 1 Ride

Crank Brothers Candy X Pedal

Crank Brothers Candy X Pedal

Rating for this product: 1 November 14, 2010

I had some Mallets for about 3 years of abusive riding and loved them! They finally bit the dust after I smashed the spring directly into a rock. I needed to replace them quick so I thought these might be decent, quick fix to get me on the trails again. I didn't think I would get as much life out of them as the Mallets but I thought I would get more than 1 ride...
The problem with these pedals is the end of the spring rubs against the outside of the pedal and causes it to stay open. This happened once with my mallets after about two years and Crank Brothers fixed them with a few zip ties to keep the spring away from the edge of the pedal. I am going to try that with these but I don’t think I should have to do that after 1 ride.
I love the way this type of pedal works because you can clip in forwards or backwards. Basically you can just step on the pedal and you clip in. Unfortunately these Candy pedals don't work as well as the Mallets.
